Vehicle Detail

This is a 1951 Ford Custom Convertible . We kept all of the good and got rid of all of the bad. The car had its original 225 flathead and 3 speed trans with O.D. rebuilt approximately 2000 miles ago. The troublesome positive ground 6 volt system was eliminated with a complete rewire and 12 volt alternator system. All the factory gauges work as they should . All interior and exterior lights work including turn signals and dual spot lights . Heater blower and dampers work as they should . The car runs drives stops very dependably . The new tan interior is a classy compliment to the bright red exterior. The convertible top is new and operates with a push of a button flawlessly . The day I took the photos was a bit to cold to drop the top for fear of damaging the canvas. The body and floors are all rust free and always have been . The only flaw present is on passengers side front bumper lower. See picture. The door hood and trunk lid are all better than factory gapped and shut tight with little effort and without rattles. The car is rolling on brand new Coker Classic wide white wall tires including the spare in the continental kit. This was was owned , built ,painted and wired by a man who has more than 60 years experience restoring and hot rodding cars . He has simply decided to pass this one on to a new owner . On Mar-22-17 at 04:35:14 PDT, seller added the following information: The car also has Fenton cast iron headers with duel exhaust and new radiator. 1955 Oldsmobile wheel covers, new door handles, badges, ornaments. On Mar-24-17 at 13:43:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to be clear , The car HAS its original engine and transmission. Both were rebuilt about 2000 miles ago and both run and operate perfectly. Thanks On May-07-17 at 13:19:33 PDT, seller added the following information: It has been brought to my attention that the original motor that is still in the car may be a 239 rather than a 225 as I stated in the add.My apologizesOn May-09-17 at 06:02:33 PDT, seller added the following information: I now have several photos of the car with the top down. These photo's really show off the car and are worth seeing. I cannot add anymore to the add . I will however email to anyone who wants to see.. mg@drummondindustries.com Thanks Matt
