GREAT CAR! ENTHUSIAST OWNED. No Reserve! 1973 Mercede Benz 220 Gas. W115 sedan 4 door. Low mileage 43K. Great little car. Interior is excellent with no cracks or tears. All fittings and pieces are present. If you know these cars, replacement interiors are virtually unobtainable. Buy the best example you can find from the inside out. Floors are solid as is trunk and doors. Bubbling in rear quarters starting to show through. Very typical for these models but easily fixable. All rubber looks good and serviceable. Engine has new weber carb (2016) as the old strombergs had issues with maintenance. This makes all the difference on these cars. AC unit removed, but included in sale. No oil weeps or leaks. Well maintained and stored every Winter in heated building. Manual windows, so no regulators to deal with. ORIGINAL BECKER am/fm unit works great! This is a fun little around town car that will go forever if not abused. Its a real throwback to conservative looks and style. Gets the same looks and smiles as our Volvo 240 wagon brought. Reasons to buy a W115 • Good fuel economy and reliability.• Wonderful handling, steering, and brakes. All models had 4-wheel disc brakes and newly-designed independent suspension.• Stylish design in a stolid sort of way, with spacious interiors, a high greenhouse with good visibility, comfortable seats, and excellent crumple-zone crash protection.• Early cars had a very pure look.• Inexpensive examples are easy to find and major parts are relatively available at reasonable prices.
