1980 Honda XR 500. Multiple Expert class moto winner at MX Rewind 2016 at Unadilla. The engine is an absolute torque monster; 520 cc high compression Wiseco piston, 38mm Mikuni carb, current jetting is spot on. Supertrapp exhaust, chain and sprockets have one weekend on them. The engine was gone thru after Unadilla, fogged, and started every now and again, usually first or second kick. Suspension is a mix, the front end is off of a 1981 Honda CR 450, the forks have been properly sorted and sprung for a heavier (190lbs) rider. The rear end sports a Pro-Fab aluminum swingarm, and a set of Ohlins shocks that have been rebuilt with factory Ohlins parts, and revalved to modern specs; they are awesome. Renthal bars, aluminum CR250 tank, front rim is a gold anodized Sun with heavy gauge ss spokes. I may relace the rear as well if time allows. Shes race ready as she sits, the mill just pulls and pulls, the suspension is very well sorted. There are some nicks and dings etc, paint rubbed off here and there, but it is a great machine.
