96 RMW 57k LDM Up for offer is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon with 57k miles in Light Driftwood Metallic. Collectors Edition like every other 96 Roadmaster. Lifelong Arizona and New Mexico car - absolutely zero rust anywhere. Loaded up with power everything. Boasting GMs Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power. Base 2.56 gears with heavy duty cooling; open rear end, rated for 3000 lbs. towing. Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. History report shows lots of service and odometer reports over the years - send me your email address and Ill send you the history report. Runs and drives great - drive anywhere. Salvage title due to damaged front bumper (new body parts have not been available for years, so it doesnt take much to total one of these.) It was not a frontal impact - someone clipped the passenger side edge of the plastic bumper from the back toward the front, sort of tearing it off. There was slight damage to the right front fender, but I was able to push most of those small dents out, so the fender is original (the only part replaced is the front bumper.) Car available for showing in Mt. Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Good battery & good charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is very straight except very small dents on both rear quarterpanels, and a very small ding on right front fender. No rust, no bondo. Above average. Paint: Paint is very nice and all original except the front bumper cover. The only complaints are a small scratch above the right taillight, and a couple touch up spots on right fender and rear bumper. Above average also. Wood: Upper wood trim was removed, painted tan and reinstalled so it wont peel like most do at this age. The side panel fake wood is in very good shape - all shiny and only a few nicks and chips. Other: Lower stainless bright trim is in nice shape. Rubber side trim is all there. Windshield and all other glass are good with no chips or cracks. Windows are lightly tinted and tint is in nice shape. Undercarriage is absolutely spotless with NO rust as seen in pics. Underhood sheet metal/wheelhouses are spotless, too. Tailgate sill and door jambs have no rust, either, as seen in pics. Aluminum wheels are in very nice shape. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is very nice as youd expect of the low miles. Dash has no cracks and has been covered. Cloth seating areas are in very nice shape. Carpeting throughout is in very nice condition with no notable wear or soil. Has all 4 factory floor mats, and those were covered by aftermarket mats when I got the car. Headliner is nice with no sag. Steering wheel is nice - the cover protected it, not to hide damage, as seen in pics. No smoke or pet odors. Nice low-mile features, like the "ON-OFF-RES" lettering is still visible on signal stalk. Very nice interior overall. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) ALL power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette, keyless entry, rear window release, rear wiper, twilight sentinel, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. Auto-level/level ride works, too. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out great. Steering is tight, alignment is good, suspension is tight. Brakes work well with good linings. Tires have about 40% tread remaining on two matched pairs of good quality radials, but they are older - Im confident theyd survive a cross-country trip, but should be replaced sooner than later. Solid, quiet original stainless steel exhaust with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) No complaints - drives like the miles - drive anywhere.
