Vehicle Detail
1987 Buick Turbo T WE4/W02 lightweight blackout package. This car looks like a Grand National, however, it is much harder to find. 87 Grand National production was 20194 cars while Turbo T production for this one year only model was just 1547 cars, making it one of the rarest model Turbo Buicks next to the GNX at 547 cars. The Turbo T was also a lighter car than the Grand National due to lighter aluminum bumper braces, lighter brake parts and lighter aluminum wheels. The W02 blackout package was only offered during the first few months of 87 production. The blackout package was soon dropped due to Grand National owners complaining about how much the T looked like the GN. For the rest of the model year, all black Turbo T cars came with the chrome bumpers and trim. Out of the 1547 Turbo Ts built, it is believed that less then 300 true blackout cars like this were built before production was stopped. For more information on the blackout Turbo T Buick, please look up online, "Hemmings Muscle Machines" December 2006 issue for the full story. I have had this car for 12 years. The car is in good condition and I keep it in the garage. It's loaded with options, power windows, locks, seats, trunk, antenna, air, tilt wheel, cruise, concert sound, posi rear, T Tops including the original storage bags. The owner before me stated that the car has a beefed up trans with a shift kit, a larger exhaust, a bigger turbo, larger down pipe along with some other mods. He also said the drivetrain was rebuilt when the mods were done. This work was done before I bought the car so I can only go by what the owner before me said. The interior is good except the bottom of the front seats need to be redone or at least a set of good seat covers. The exterior of the car looks good. This is not a perfect show car. The paint is decent. Some paint cracking around the one rear quarter panel window. It could use a good polishing. The paint shines up nicely. There are some rust areas in the lower part of the doors. The rockers, quarters and fenders look good. There is a small dime size rust hole at the bottom of the front door posts. The underbody and frame are solid as you can see in the photos. The car was undercoated when it was new. The car is a strong runner and very healthy. It sounds great. The brakes may need some attention as the pedal is getting low. The rubber bumper fillers need to be replaced due to cracking from age so I removed what was left of them. I drive the car around on the weekends to car shows, ect, otherwise, it just sits in the garage. I do not have the spare time anymore to really enjoy the car so it's time for a new owner. I have two sets of wheels and tires for the car, the original lightweight T wheels and a good set of Grand National wheels that you see on the car now. I feel I covered everything here. I posted 24 clear photos of the car. If you would like to see a photo of any area on the car, just ask and I will send you as many photos as you would like to see. My reserve price is more than fair for an 87 Turbo Regal. You will be hard pressed to find another 87 Turbo Buick like this for less money. I priced the car to sell. If you have any questions, just let me know. "NOTE", It takes time and cost money to run an auction so "serious bidders only" please. Bidding on Ebay is not a game. My feedback has always been 100% positive since I signed up on Ebay almost 15 years ago which shows alot. I tell it like it is. Please email me with any questions you may have before you place a bid. If you are new to Ebay and do not understand the rules of an auction or, if you have zero positive feedback, please contact me first before you bid. Remember, bid only if you mean business. If you bid and win, "you bought the car" period. This is alot of car for the money. There are many Turbo Regals out there needing a ton of work for thousands of dollars more. Thank you for your interest. On Apr-04-17 at 13:22:09 PDT, seller added the following information: If anyone would like to see more photos of any area on the car, just ask and I will send extra photos. I loaded 24 photos which was all I could fit, however, I have many more photos. I can also take a video of the car running and driving so you can hear and see how good she runs. The low reserve has already been met so the highest bidder wins the Buick. Thanks again for the questions and interest.
