This is a great car that I love a lot. The only reason I am selling is that I got a lower millage car from my dad. It drives fine and I continue to drive it to work once a week, about 20 miles round trip, to keep it in good condition. Everything in the car still works fine including super cold A/C, power windows, power locks etc. One nice thing about the Jetta wagon is it came with a full size spare which is still with it. As you probably know, the TDI gets great mileage, I average 43mpg. I installed a trailer hitch when I bought the car. It is not the cheap kind that mounts to the bumper it is bolted to the body under the spare tire well. The hitch mount has a 1 ¼” receiver and currently I have a 1 7/8” ball for it. The ball and drawbar are removable, as seen in some of the pictures. The hitch is a Hidden Hitch 60984. I am the original owner and have followed the recommended maintenance schedule. All oil changes where done on time and with the 505.01 oil as specified for the engine. Timing belt was done at 90k and 180k. Clutch was replaced at about 200k (yes, I got 200k out of the original). Only other major work was a cam shaft at about 190k. New tires about 20k ago. Only one significant accident, car was rear-ended while parked. All work was done by the insurance company, mostly replacing bumper and side panel but also replaced the rear axle. The car is 13 years old and has gone a lot of places so it has its share of dings and scratches. No rust though! There are three significant dents, one on the hood from a fallen tree branch. One on the front left quarter panel, not sure what happened, probably someone clipped the car while parallel parking. The last dent is on the back right pillar from some canoes falling off the roof of the car. You can tell I love this car since I can remember where the dents came from. The payment after the auction close will be by USPS money order or by cash at time of pickup. At the close of the auction a NON-refundable deposit will need to be sent by PAYPAL for $200 within 24 hours. The balance will be due at time of pickup. If you will need to have the car shipped, you will need to setup all shipping arrangements with your shipper. I do not provide shipping services. Full payment is required prior to shipping. I will assist your shipper in loading the vehicle at my home or within 15 miles of 20001. Payment and shipping arrangements must be setup within 7 days of auction completion or the item will be re-listed and required feed-back will be posted.
