Up for sale is my Classic 1980 Suzuki 250cc Street Bike! ....4 stroke engine- just 2,210 original miles!!!! I retired and purchased this bike 5 years ago .....from another oldster who rarely rode....and I too have rarely had time to use it ....so have decide to sell it. Runs perfectly, always garaged. It is fun to run - easy to maneuver....great for a new rider, or someone who likes the lighter feel and greater maneuverability of a smaller 'cruiser'! Lots of pep - even for a 200 pound person like myself. Great on gas. This is the same model I took my Virginia Learner's class with and I loved the great handling and control. Everything works like-new. The bike looks great for its age. Nice chrome overall. One small ding on the tank about 1 inch under where your right leg would go, (I dropped it in my garage about a year ago). Starts right up every time and purrs....road ready. Battery is a less than a year old and I keep it trickle charged. I start it up every couple of months and just ride it - up our road and back. Shifts and runs like it just was manufactured. Purrs..no hesitation, smooth shifting, smooth idle. All lights work, - dash, head, tail, brake and turn signals and horn. Seat looks new...but it is original...just amor-all ever couple of months. Tires have lots of tread. Rear was replaced and I am not sure if the front is original. Tread is like new......but there is very minor cracking. Since it was garaged I think it is OK. HOWEVER - If you do ride a lot and and far distances, you might want to replace. I checked online at - motorcyclesuperstore.com ...Cost for a new front touring tire for this bike - ranges from $65-$123. Another nice thing about the GS 250 model - .all parts readily available to keep it well maintained or if you eventually need any replacement parts. Note - The left muffler cover has exterior rust in two places.. (see photo 11 of 12)..but still looks good. The internal component of the muffler itself fully functional - passed inspection that way. I never opted to replace it (it doesn't look bad) ....but I did check online and replacements muffler covers are available for this model..for about 40 dollars if you want. Always garage kept, by me and the previous owner. This is likely the nicest vintage, road worthy Suzuki bike on Ebay, or elsewhere. I am just not in need of it and since I never ride it....have decided to sell it. Also - I have a nice helmet included ....see pic. Thanks for looking.
