95 Caprice wagn 112k Up for bid is a 1995 Chevy Caprice Wagon with 112k miles. Lifelong southern car. Loaded up with power everything. Boasting GM's Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power. Tow package with 2.93 limited slip rear end (GW9 & G80 build codes). Trailer preparation "tow package" means the factory rated the car to pull 5000 lbs but these did not come from the factory with hitches so all hitches are aftermarket. This car has a light duty hitch. Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. Clean history - send me your email address and I'll send you the history report. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Good battery & good charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is very straight with a couple very small dings low on left quarterpanel as seen in pics. Has a very small ding on the hood. No rust and no bondo. Above average. Paint: Paint is nice with a few scratches and chips consistent with age. Above average also. Wood: Upper wood trim was removed, painted tan and reinstalled so it won't peel like most do at this age. The side panel fake wood is in very good shape - all shiny and only a few nicks and chips and some defects on the tailgate. Other: Lower fake chrome trim has some fading. Windshield and all other glass are good with no chips or cracks. Undercarriage is super solid as seen in pics. Underhood sheet metal/wheelhouses are spotless. Tailgate sill and door jambs are also solid as seen in pics. Spoked hubcaps are in good shape - one has some curb rash. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in very good shape. Dash has no cracks. Cloth seating areas are in very nice shape. Carpet in seating area is very nice. Carpet in cargo area has a couple small stains. Headliner has a few small tears as seen in pics. Nice interior overall. Note that the blue basket on the front floorboard is Velocro'd in place, not screwed - easy to remove if you don't like it. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) The power antenna doesn't work but all other power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette, rear window release, rear wiper, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out great. Steering is tight, alignment is good, suspension is tight. Brakes work well with good linings. Tires have about 70% tread remaining front, 20% rear, on two matched pairs of good quality radials. Solid, quiet original stainless steel exhaust with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) No complaints - drive anywhere. Short version terms: Small non-refundable deposit as listed (but fast) by Paypal within 24 hours.
