Vehicle Detail
I would consider trading this car (and some cash) for a low-mileage XLR-V, or 1964 Eldorado. Greenbriar Firemist/White Convertible top/White Leather34,500 miles from new!Ordered new with every option by legendary oilman A.M. (Aggie) Pate, Jr., of the Texas Refinery Corporation, the Pate Auto & Aviation Museum and the yearly Swap Meet in Ft Worth that still bears his name, this Eldorado has had only one other owner, Mr. Pate's best friend and fellow collector, the late Ray Ward, of Tulsa, who received the car on Pate's death.Mostly original paint with a few very minor dings...too small to show in pics. The car presents beautifully. Nearly perfect original white leather, this car has received the following updates/improvements in recent months:-Interior was removed, Dymamat & Dynaliner were installed, along with correct Jade Green carpet. All surfaces, including the seatbacks were renewed. -Upper and lower front door panels re-done, including carpet. Rear upper panels recovered.-New correct Robbins Convertible Top, along with new cables, new well liner and new drip shroud installed.-New Heater Core-New Brass & Copper Three-Core Radiator-New A/C Compressor & Recharge-New, Correct Coker Classic White Wall Radial Tires.-New Exhaust System-Plugs, Wires, Fluids, etc.-New Front Shocks-Hood Hinges RebuiltRuns & Drives like new. If you're in the market for one of these cars...it will need all the stuff I've done to this one...why not buy one that's ready to enjoy? Priced very far below the values listed below...I will consider offers... Feel free to call me with any questions: 979-324-6432 Car is listed for sale locally, and I reserve the right to cancel this listing if I find a buyer. If you're interested, please come and drive it! Thanks for looking!HAGERTY CURRENT VALUES:#1 Concours: $54,600#2 Excellent: $38,700#3 Good: $26,000#4 Fair. $14,900 On Feb-03-17 at 07:21:51 PST, seller added the following information: I read my ad copy again this morning, which I did hastily yesterday, and want to add a couple things.I forgot to mention that the clock does not work. Also, the cruise control did not work last time I drove the car to a show in Austin two weeks ago. Dash light comes on, but it fails to engage when you push the button on the stalk. I have not investigated this.Everything else...top, windows, seats, seat locks, twilight sentinel, illuminated entry, Climate Control, Radio, antenna, trunk pull down, etc., works as designed. The lower door panels were re-done, but the glue that my upholstery guy used has not kept the vinyl as taught as I would have hoped, You can see this in the pics of the door panels. This is probably easily fixed but I don't want to mess with it.The car is missing the front one-piece floormat. If you are a bidder and any of these defects cause you to lose interest in the car, let me know and I'll ask EBay to cancel your bid.I want the new owner to love the car and to be happy with. I'm a Cadillac guy, and I have a few other vintage Eldorado's. I want to see you with this car at CLC Grand Nationals (good shot at Preservation Class!). I would rather keep it than have a new owner be disappointed in any way. If you have any specific questions about anything at all, please call me: 979-324-6432. Or, better yet, come see the car and drive it.
