Vehicle Detail

1973 Tiger 750. (OIF, oil in the frame), Paint on tank done by Don Hutchinson, one of the finest, bike was recently sorted out at Morries Place in Ringwood Illinois, great shop and owner. Starts on 1st kick when tickled and primed correctly. Runs great, everything works. Not perfect, but a great ride, plenty of power in this bike. Everything has been gone over on the bike. A great runner or display bike. Could probably use a new tube for front tire soon, losing some air over time. No other known issues. All additional parts and manuals come with bike. Workshop manual is original, was still wrapped in paper from 1972/73 era. Price reflects additional items with purchase. These are all original parts from the bike. I preferred the 60's looking side panels, originals all there. These items have financial value if priced separately. (Air filters still in original side panels) This was one of the last Triumphs that came out of the Meriden plant in England before the shutdown. Historical study of the VIN number will verify. Numbers matching. Ride or Display. A classic Tiger, with some subtle changes to keep "cool look". Single carb to adjust as required, no doubles like on the bonnie of the day. All wiring is there if you want to put lights and horn on, readily available. Bike is not restored, but refreshed, tank was repainted, and as I stated all systems sorted out. It is a great rider, raw power. There are minor cosmetic flaws here and there, not a concourse showroom bike, but could be easily, tank is. Great fun to ride, and sorted out for that reason. Clutch, brakes, engine tuned up, safe rider. No warranties, as is. Look at pictures closely and ask questions. She has been faithful for me. TRIUMPH TR7 - RIDING OFF INTO HISTORY While the twin-carb Bonneville always stole the spotlight, the single-carb 750 Triumph TR7 and its 650 TR6 predecessor was judged by many to be the better bike. While producing marginally less horsepower at max rpm, in real-world practical terms, the Tiger was just as fast at the Bonnie. And the single carburetor delivered much better drivability at low speeds. Two cylinders breathing through one throat makes for higher vacuum & more even pulses, both very good for carburetors. So they pull harder at low engine speeds & in the higher gears when vacuum usually drops. This becomes even more pronounced when you raise your final gearing (lower numerical ratio, ie: smaller rear sprocket). And of course one carb is always easier to tune than two. I've had both, and while people love looking at those twin carbs, the TR7s usually ran better.source:http://www.classic-british-motorcycles.com/triumph-tr7.html Please ask questions.
