I have a 1964 Triumph TR4 for sale. The body needs help, but the important parts seem to be solid. This from what I'm told, was owned by an older gentleman until he passed away, at which point his granddaughter inherited it. She owned it for about 10 years and it sat in her garage. They moved and couldn't take it so I purchased it. I had intentions of restoring it but I really don't have time for this right now. Pictures are from the day I bought it, it is now stored in my garage. The frame, floor pans, inner fenders etc seem solid. I was told that it did run years ago when her grandfather owned it but it has sat for a long time since then. The engine is free, transmission is in place but I don't know anything about it other than it did operate when he drove it. The driveshaft is in the trunk, not sure why, but it rolls easily that way. Doors, hood and trunk lid are solid. fenders, quarters and rockers need replaced. Steering seems easy, didn't try the brakes. It has the frame for the top and some spare parts like air filters and light lenses. I have a title that came with the car, I don't know much about Triumphs but what I see online is that the plate on the drivers side would be the equivalent of a modern day VIN? If so that plate says CT26710, There is another number on the passenger side which is 26532CT. Strange thing is that my title says 2652CT. Maybe this is correct? Maybe there was a clerical error done in 1964 or sometime in between? Maybe the car was registered off of some other number tag that is on the car? Just being up front about this. It does have wire wheels, tires are shot but hold air.
