Here is the one you have been searching for, a truly gorgeous restored 1969 Mustang Fastback, this Pony just completed a ground up restoration and it looks and runs phenomenal. The paint and body are extremely nice, it was taken all the way down to metal and any rust was cut out and replaced with metal and there wasn’t much. All of the trim was taken off, doors, hood, trunk, fenders were all removed and sprayed with PPG base coat, clear coat. All of the glass was removed and replaced with all new seals as well. The color is a 2016 Mustang GT Blue Metallic PPG base coat, clear coat and it pops when the sunlight hits it as you can tell by the pictures. There is no bondo, no waves, no rust, and it was polished to a show room shine, it is definitely an eye catcher at the car shows. All of the chrome was replaced including but not limited to new front and rear bumpers, new markers, new stainless trim, new door handles, new antenna, new reverse light bezels and assemblies, the taillights were replaced a few years back and are still in excellent shape. All of the weatherstrippings throughout the car and all the rubber grommets were replaced and new window seals were installed as well before reinstalling all of the glass as mentioned earlier. The front and rear windows were all replaced with NOS at the time of restoration. The interior was partially restored and the parts that weren’t replaced are in very nice shape for their age, only minor wear can be seen on the front seats as you can see in the pictures, mainly a minor tear in the passenger side seat but not really noticeable. New carpet was installed, new sill plates, new dash pad, new headliner, the Door panels were replaced not to long ago and still look great, as does most of the other interior as you can tell by the pictures. All of the lights etc work, as they should, most of the gauges work including fuel level, temp, etc. Oil pressure gauge isn’t functioning correctly sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t could be a ground never worried about it. Has a nice new aftermarket radio with new speakers so you can listen to some tunes while cruising down the highway. Has the well known fold down rear seat that functions flawlessly. It was an original A/C car as you can tell by the pictures and I have almost all of the parts and they are included in the sale, all the lines are still installed so it could easily be put back in but I was going to install a Vintage A/C unit as they are a lot less of a hassle to upkeep. The engine is a 302 that runs excellent, no smoke, no strange noises and it was rebuilt about 500 miles ago, it originally had a 4V barrel on it but was replaced with a 2V to put it back to original. Car is nicely equipped with Power Steering, A/C, etc. The engine compartment is all chromed out for the shows, with brand new Chrome Shock Towers, New Chrome Support Brace, Chrome Monte Carlo Bar with minor wear. New Chrome Valve Covers, New Chrome Air cleaner, etc. Really draws a crowd when you open up the hood. Transmission is a FMX 3 Speed Automatic that shifts very nice, was rebuilt about 2000 miles ago and it shifts great with no hesitation or slips. If it sits for more than a few weeks I do notice a slight drip of fluid but nothing major and it is probably from not being driven. Rear was just all rebuilt with new bearings and seals, posi unit was installed with a 3:08 gear for highway cruising. All of the blinkers, lights, wipers, etc work even the hood scoop blinkers work as they should which is pretty rare. All of the brakes were just replaced and the car stops on a dime, new master cylinder, new brake lines, new drums, new shoes, new brake hardware, new lines, new fittings, etc. Most of the cooling system was replaced not long ago as well and the car does not run hot. The fuel system was redone a few years back and everything functions, as it should. Most of the suspension was also replaced at the time of the restoration and it rides very smooth, without any funny sounds or rattles. Car handles great and is ready to hit the road. Wheels and tires are brand new just installed correct Magnum 500’s with new 15” tires, and they give it a really smooth ride. The entire underneath is as solid as it rolled off the assembly line no rust anywhere. Subframe connectors were installed at the time of restoration for increased support and a better ride. The trunk is super solid as well with nice carpeting installed for the shows and some extra included in the sale.Overall if you have been on the hunt for a nice Mustang Fastback that you can enjoy and drive to the shows then look no further. You wont find one nicer for the money I have owned many of these Fastbacks over the years and can tell you this one is solid and nicer than most of the others you see.
