The engine died while in rush-hour traffic at the end of October. The mechanic at the towing company said the engine was difficult to turn over even with plugs removed. I think it's time for a new engine. Everything was in good working order before the engine problem. Smart cars are a lot of fun to drive in the city. I'd love to put a Hayabusa engine in this - its a great candidate if you're mechanically inclined. Please examine the pictures for condition. The body still looks very good but you definitely want to pay attention to under the hood and the engine compartment. I don't know what those burned wires are about - a Mercedes mechanic would probably know instantly. There's some sort of a cylinder behind the headlight that had a hole in it - probably from the headlight being pushed into it. Duct tape is covering the hole. The key has remote open/lock/hatch/emergency buttons, the rubber button cover for the "lock" button was lost, but it still works. .
