This auction is for a 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Clone. This car was put together in the early 90s. It was owned and driven by a doctor in NC until 2007 when he parked it. I purchased the car in early 2016 and got it running. It is a factory 136 VIN car with all the SS pieces installed. It has a 1972 396 big block that is stock, except for hedman long tube headers. It has a new fuel pump, carb, plugs, wires, belts, hoses, and HEI distributor. It has new front brakes, master cylinder, and a clean factory fuel tank. It has a TH400 auto transmission with a stock converter and a shift kit. It has a 2.73 open 12 bolt rear end. The wheels are new weld wheels, and the tires are new as well (less than 500 miles). The car has front and rear sway bars and new shocks. It has a new starter and gearbox. The car has power steering, power brakes, working wipers and working heat. The interior is nice, it was redone around 2005 with new door panels, seat covers and dash pad. The interior panels are nice and soft, and it good overall shape. The car has front disc brakes (converted using 1972 chevelle parts). The car has some light bubbling down low, but again, it was restored in the early 90s. The floor and trunk pans appear solid, as does the cowl. The paint still shines good, and the car is straight overall. I would call the body a 6.5 out of 10. I have daily driven the car for the last 2 months, it brakes, drives and steers well. Overall it is a nice driver quality car that runs and drives well. The car shows 14xxx on the odometer, I would assume this is 114xxx. The speedo stopped working 2 weeks ago. The car has a clean NC title in my name.
