This is a remarkably clean collector car which is only being listed to make room in the paddock for a 914-Six. This is a three-owner car, having been freshened up approx. 10 years ago before being collected by the latest owner, and at that time it had just received a full paint and light interior rejuvenation with all original equipment. It had 63k miles when taking delivery. It has been lovingly stored indoors ever since, alongside a beautiful 911, 928, and a 944. The engine and transmission are original to this vehicle, and both are crisp and smooth. As you can see from decals cataloging its history, this was a show-car which came from New York state in the mid 2000's. This marque is marvelously clean, original, and complete. The only apparent changes are the Kenwood AM/FM Radio and the two-position rearview mirror. At the center in front of the shifter are the premium gauge cluster options which were available from dealers, consisting of the analog clock, temperature gauge, and volt-meter. In preparation for this listing, this sport coupe enjoyed a couple of mind-length jaunts, the longest being 250 miles. It happily held normal operating temperatures at freeway speeds, remaining right and tight throughout each driving experience. For the interior, the seating is very nice and comfortable with the original leatherette holding its original shape and color. The inside of the door panels is also superbly clean. The carpeting is remarkable in both footwells, as well as in the front & rear storage compartments. The battery tray is very solid and clean as this vehicle has been stored indoors and maintained along with the rest of the collection. The windows, door locks, glove compartment lid, targa top clasps, and other in-car mechanisms are all working nicely. The floor-pans, as well as the front & rear trunk bottoms, are very clean and solid with no concerns; there are no signs of a collision history or body rust anywhere. The chassis is straight, solid, and clean. The suspension is very smooth, and the wheels with their Comp T/A tires are clean and fresh. The ride and cornering in this roadster is remarkably crisp, as is the gearbox. There are zero mechanical concerns with either the engine or transmission - no leaks, no smoking, no noises. The electrical components including the lights, turn signals, horn, electric starter, and the gauges all function without hesitation. This Porsche has received a complete inspection with a test ride to ensure safety and reliability. It should go without saying that this car has received fresh spark plugs, belts, an oil change, a good battery, and has a clear title ready to be transfered.
