The La Grange (Cook County) Illinois Police Department is offering the following vehicle for sale through auction: 2003 Chrysler Concorde LXi Sedan 4-Door 3.5L with 48,575 original miles THIS IS A VILLAGE-OWNED VEHICLE AND MUST BE SOLD ACCORDING TO ILLINOIS LAW; IT MUST BE SOLD IN AN AUCTION-TYPE SETTING SUCH AS EBAY. THERE IS NO BUY-IT-NOW OPTION. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY TRADES FOR THIS VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS IS AND WITH NO EXISTING WARRANTY; NEITHER EXPRESS NOR IMPLIED. NO PRICE ADJUSTMENTS WILL BE GIVEN AND NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED. THE VEHICLE WILL BE SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER ONCE THE STARTING PRICE HAS BEEN SATISFIED. THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS VEHICLE. POSITIVES:1. Again, the vehicle has a low mileage of 48,575 original miles.2. The interior is relatively clean and in good shape.3. The exterior is in good shape and VERY sharp!4. The sub model of this vehicle is LXi and is a 4 door vehicle.5. The vehicle is 3.5L 3497CC 215Cu. In. V6 GAS SOHC Naturally Aspirated.6. The vehicle is FWD, automatic, and requires regular gasoline.7. We have partial maintenance records (see below), the manual, and extra keys/fobs.8. NADA guide value is as follows: rough=$1,950, average=$2,575, clean=$3,100.9. We have the CARFAX on the vehicle, which shows no issues (available to view by buyer).10. The tires are at 75% or better (left) and are #P225/55R17 (good shape).11. The front seats are leather bucket seating in good shape-not torn. rear leather seating also in good shape.12. The vehicle is equipped with air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, power driver's seat.13. The vehicle is equipped with AM/FM stereo, lighted visors with mirrors, cruise control with controls on steering wheel, cigarette lighter/12V port in front.14. The vehicle has front and rear cup holders, center console storage, adj. headrests, adj. steering wheel.15. The vehicle has tinted windows, door guards, a spare tire, jack, sunroof with electric controls, and alloy wheels.16. The vehicle runs well. NEGATIVES:1. The vehicle has an electrical problem that we did not get fixed: the high beams work, but the headlights do not. Many of the controls on the dashboard are not working due to the problem; the a/c blower, fan, defrost, door locks, radio, etc. We believe it may be a relay switch as the fuses are all good-we are not sure. Many of the electric devices function well, however: power window, horn, wipers, parking lights, signals, etc. Again, we believe it to be a relatively easy fix.2. We have found that the gas tank is empty when the indicator shows 1/4 tank. We have marked the indicator as a reminder.3. There is a crack below the passenger-side front fog light-see photographs.4. There are two spots where paint is "chipped" on the driver's-side front 1/4.5. The vehicle will need a new battery-we jump it every time to start it, but it starts right up and runs well.6. I always recommend that the vehicle will need a tune-up, coolant flush, battery, and to be checked over by your local mechanic.7. Aside from the electrical problem, the vehicle appears to run well and looks sharp! PARTIAL MAINTENANCE RECORDS:1. We took over ownership of the vehicle in December 2008, so we have NO records prior to that date (however, we have CARFAX report).2. January 2011, alternator was replaced3. August 2011, the vehicle was involved in a VERY minor accident (parking lot accident where the rear was struck, but no damage). The accident was so minor, it does not even show up on the CARFAX report.4. May 2013, front brakes, alignment, four new tires5. June 2013, coolant flush, hoses and clamps replaced, all belts replaced6. June 2013, check engine light was on; brake switch was reconnected7. All routine maintenance, oil changes, and tire rotations were completed at normal intervals.8. Above are the only service records I have, unknown if this is a complete set. The vehicle appears to run and drive well. Potential bidders, however, are encouraged to view the vehicle in person prior to the bidding process, as there may be defects/imperfections that we are not aware of. Potential bidders may have an independent inspection completed on the vehicle prior to the bidding process at their own expense. The winning bidder is responsible for the pick up of the vehicle or making arrangements with a private shipping service at their own expense. We will NOT ship or deliver the vehicle. Buyers are asked to pick up the vehicle within seven (7) days of the close of the auction or contacting us to make arrangements for additional time needed for pick up. We ask the buyer to make a deposit through PayPal withing 48 hours of the close of the auction, HOWEVER, the buyer MAY pay in full upon pick up of the vehicle with either CASH or CERTIFIED BANK CHECK ONLY. We will not accept personal checks or credit cards-sorry!
