GREAT LOW VIN, CLASSIC HONDA CR250M, EARLY PRODUCTION ON THIS ONE. 1973 Honda CR250M, Low Vin, Frame: CR250M-1001220 / Engine:CR250ME-1001256.Bike was disassembled and cleaned. New parts; handlebars, levers, cables, front number plate, swing arm bushings, piston, air filter, tires and tubes, front mud guard on fender(have original). All other original, either cleaned thoroughly or paint, spokes and chain all original, each spoke hand cleaned. Normal dents in the exhaust, couple of small tears in the original seat, character, It has kickstand, chain guide, and even the rare engine mud guard optional part. No powder coat, frame and misc. parts painted professionally. This was a very complete bike to begin with. Never had intention to ride, stored in den at this point in time. Has strong compression, and good spark, shifted thru all the gears. No fluids in bike. I believe it could be started easily. If ridden shocks may need freshened. I did not disassemble or "go thru" engine. Drained oil it was clean. This bike is a great survivor, it is the 1004th bike off the line if the records are correct of 1000216 being the 1st for sale. I will include an additional tank, owners manual reprint, original parts manual for CR250M and a CR125M, all parts taken off, cables ect..., original front number plate, old handle bars and tires, and original brochure. Rear tire was a Goodyear MX tire, not produced anymore. It is a great looking bike, complete. I am sure it could be fired and rode, I chose not too, it is too rare and in great shape for it's age. I have not even attempted to start, and do not want too. I hope a collector is interested, it would be great on display. Hesitant to let it go, but hope it finds a solid home to be admired. Bike is not "perfect", it is real. The low VIN is attractive. A "barn" find. I have no title, checked the VIN with DMV, no claims, clear. I think I have covered most information, just a cool bike.
