Vehicle Detail
1986 Ford Van with "Quigley" 4x4 conversion 130,630 miles 460 ci stock engine, runs excellent C6 3 speed trans, shifts great, no problems Holley carb Stock headers with dual exhaust Dana 44 front with "Spider" guard Dana 60 rear BW1345 transfer case and manual locking hubs up front 2" hitch receiver and installed trailer brake unit in the cab LT 255/85-16 Winston M + S tires, lots of tread Aluminum wheels Pioneer cd stereo KC driving lights Excellent interior No AC Heat works great Clear VA title in my name New battery last year Oil changed regularly Wolverine oil pan heater This is a Quigley conversion 4x4. If you run the VIN, you'll see that this van body started life with 2 wheel drive and a 6 cylinder engine before the 4x4 conversion. It's my guess that the speedo/odo was changed out then as well since the odo in the van doesn't match Autocheck. I can tell you that the conversion was very well done and it runs and drives great. I have a 100% clear title to it in my name. It's pretty much the same as I bought it and I've only put approx. 5K miles on it in the last 2 years. It starts every time and runs excellent, 4 x 4 works excellent and the interior is excellent. Exterior is pretty good and straight with a couple flaws. As the pics show, there are some small rust spots. I bought it like this and had planned on painting it but of course I haven't gotten to it. I've been able to keep these small spots at bay so far by using car wax and rust converter. The dual exhaust is starting to age. The left exhaust pipe after the rear axle started rusting so I put a temporary fix on it. It gets an average of 10 mpg using premium gas with my best being 13 mpg. I take care of my vehicles and I have never abused this van. I added the KC lights and Wolverine engine heater last year. The stereo did function fine and I disconnected the power to it this past spring to install a different one but I never found time to replace it. It should function fine once power is reconnected. My biggest problem with this van is I don't get to drive it as much as I'd like to. Quigley converted vans are top notch and kind of rare and hold their value well. I've found that Quigley converted vans aren't usually in KBB or NADA pricing guides. The pricing usually comes from researching and seeing what they are worth in different areas. Anyway, good luck. It is a used vehicle so there will be no refund, warranty or return after it's sold. Please ask as many questions as you need to.
