She was the original owner. All paperwork including all dealer maintenance since purchase. She was thorough with the maintenance schedule including replacing suspension struts, fluid flushing you name it, I have a stack of paperwork. I have had car maybe 2 years. Last summer a $5 plastic part (air temp sensor for the throttle body) broke and leaked coolant causing the car to overheat. After this the head gasket started to leak coolant into cylinder #6. This series BMW is known for the plastic parts crumbling after they reach a certain age so I replaced all the plastic I could find including the radiator which yes has plastic on it. Since then the BMW runs great, but will overheat after about 10-15min. I would have to pull over and let it cool down then drive home. I have replaced all the hoses, water pump, radiator, fan clutch and a sensor. I removed the heator core and the throttle body from the cooling system and still not able to determine the problem. I went so far as putting a new head and head gasket to fix the leak. Have great compression. Still the same problem. I give up. Items of interest: The interior needs work as you can see from the pictures. The doors (which I will add pictures for) have the standard delamination of the fabric material from the panel. I have the driver’s side off currently. The purple seat cover is free :). The interior was next on the list after fixing the cooling, seat covers was my plan. The glove box works fine but a little loose as you can see in the picture Power seats and heated seats work. Radio works great, Alpine with removable face. Need to attach the new antenna I installed. Needs an adapter. I have removed the heater core from the loop in an effort to find the cooling problem. Passenger door open sensor does not work therefore the window does not drop the necessary 1/2” when you open the door. Makes it hard to open. Again cheap fix, was on the list. AC works perfect. New system was installed in ’06-’07, have paperwork. Body is in superb condition! No rust as most of it's life was in CA not here by the coast.
