Vehicle Detail

No Reserve!!! This bike is selling to the high bidder on Monday night. I'm selling my dad's bike that he bought new on 7/23/1997 with 1,802 demo miles from Lindner Cycles in New Canaan, CT for $14,940.32. Clean 1-owner "New" title, no liens. Ready to be signed over. Options: Sony radio, heated grips, Corbin seat, Maxia lockable saddlebags, Aeroflow tall windshield, fat foot on sidestand, cylinder protection bars, BMW radio antenna, battery tender plug, heated vest plug, Of course, standard, it has BMW ABS brakes. For other features and options, please see the pictures. Have all records. It has been serviced regularly. Over serviced, really. New battery and service last year. Has not been inspected since 2013 and not ridden much since then. Starts up and rides beautifully. Like a dream. Very powerful. Read web reviews for more info on this amazing ride. This bike has been kept in a bike shed its entire life, never left out. Super low miles- only 16,500. Cosmetically, see the pictures. No dents or major scratches, but it is a used bike that has been mechanically pampered and is cosmetically fine but not perfect. Has never gone down while riding or been in any accidents of any kind whatsoever. Bike rides like new. It's in my garage now. Available to test ride if you're in the neighborhood. I've been on eBay since forever. Have personally bought and sold cars and bikes through the years. Never a hitch. No international bidders or scams. No new bidders. Please be a real person with an intent to buy. This is a cash transaction. $200 paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction close. Bike is sold as is, where is. You could hop on this bike and ride it across the country if you wanted to. Thanks for looking and good luck. On Oct-24-16 at 08:18:34 PDT, seller added the following information: I thought I put this revision in but I don't see it (apologize if this is a duplicate). Someone was good enough to point out that the seat is a Sargent seat, not a Corbin. On Oct-30-16 at 06:53:53 PDT, seller added the following information: A user came by yesterday and took her for a test ride. Here's the note I got from him (posted with permission).-->> New message from: barrysnikov (27)I went to see it today. Here is my assessment, in case the seller wants to post. It's super clean with just a surface scratch here and there that could easily be polished out. There's fixable abrasion on the panniers, but it's definitely not from being dropped. It rides like a new bike. My chief concern was that I'm 5'7 with a 29" inseam. We set the the Sargent seat to the lowest position, allowing me to position myself comfortably on the balls of my feet. The bike does not feel big or heavy (not a starter bike though, unless you are tall) and it handled beautifully (I don't know how much gas was in the tank, and whether that affects the CG in a meaningful way when full). With a dry plate clutch, actuated by a cable, there is no "mush" in the controls, and riding position was upright. It feels very direct; I would guess it to be a sporty handler. Brakes are great. I would have bid to add it to my fleet if negotiations at home hadn't broken down...
