1978 Maico GS 400, yes this was the GS model for 1978. The later Magnum style motor was first in GS models for 79.Motor was refreshed with intentions to ride it, but I don't have time to ride them all. This started in 3 kicks after being stored for 3 years. I installed a new primary chain, clutch spring, kick shaft and shift shaft. New style kick lever knuckle, the gas tank was painted with period decals added, the frame has original paint. The tail light is broken, parts missing are the headlight glass/bulb, and the chain guard. I will install a new drive chain after auction end to the new owner.The original center stand and cast aluminum skid plate are there. Seat has a Hallman products base, with new foam and cover. The case mounts and frame mounts are like new, as is the transmission. The OEM Skyway spark arrestor is in excellent shape. Aluminum rear hub with Akronts are in very good shape. I briefly test rode it, power and shifting are great. This is a very original bike, and I also have a street title so it can be registered with a little work getting it street legal for your area.
