This BMW 540i has a powerful 4.4L, V8 engine that starts easily and runs good. The rich black interior looks good and features leather heated seats, dual-zone climate control, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, sunroof, integrated controls on the leather wrapped steering wheel, auto-dim rear view mirror, alloy wheels, and more! This BMW 540i has a current VA state inspection on it, but will not pass again due to the following issues: It has sway bar bushings that need to be replaced, front rotors that are below minimum specs, lower control arms that are bad, a faulty transmission that goes into "failsafe" limp-mode randomly, an emergency brake that does not hold, and a leaking power steering resevoir. Other mechanical issues are: The starter engages too long and is making a grinding noise when the car starts, the transmission shifts hard when it's working and there are multiple fluid leaks around the engine and transmission area. Overall this BMW looks good inside and out though and is well worth buying and fixing up as a daily driver. Cosmetically speaking, there is a small dent on the driver side passenger door and the rear bumper has some chips and scratches on it, but overall the exterior looks good. The interior looks good overall as well. The driver's seats power works, but only one side of the top goes back.
