Up for sale is our 1966 Ford Mustang. I purchased the car in 2006 as a 20th anniversary present for my wife. The car is the Sprint Edition that has the 6 cylinder 200 cubic inch motor. I learned that it was a rebuilt motor from the previous owner. The motor runs well. The odometer now reads 33,000 miles on it. It has the C4 Cruise-O-Matic transmission that shifts smoothly. I had the car redone about 5 -6 years ago and painted. The car was not a frame off restoration, but it was nicely done with all new fresh metal with $12,000 invested. All fresh metal was used including floor pans, quarter panels, gas tank, doors, fenders and valances. The paint is black metal flake and still looks nice. The negatives are: The aftermarket rug that I had installed is totally faded. Paint is peeling away on both sides of the back window, showing some surface rust on the driver's side. The hood is needing repair from when one of the hinges froze, which put an indentation in the hood. Also the front tip of the hood the paint is cracking.Water is leaking in on the passenger side rug, from bad weather stripping. The passenger underside floor pan has some surface rust, driver's side floor pan is fine. Overall its a great car with excellent bones and it would not take much money to bring it back to excellent condition. We have used the car only occasionally, and does not make much sense keeping it with the insurance and the upkeep. The car is available for inspection. The car comes with many other parts including most of a spare engine. Engine block, crank shaft, cam shaft, distributor vacuum advance, oil pump, pistons, timing chain cover, valve cover, arm rest cushions, lettering and more. Also have many receipts from previous owner, which includes front end work and motor work. I added new pictures due to the fact that i am relisting it.
