Vehicle Detail
1988 BMW Alpina B11 WAPBB35008BB30223 #223 of 332 BMW e32 chassis like 735 / 750i but built and tuned by legendary BMW tuning firm Alpina . Recently imported from Japan - Has not seen regular use since the early 2000's. Relatively low miles - 160k kilometers / 100k miles. Exterior is nice - paint looks good from 5-10 feet and original Alpina graphics have held up well. Up close there is a couple square inches of missing clear-coat near the washer nozzles on the hood and the roof has some oxidation. Interior is in good condition with clean dash, nice headliner and door panels and average/modest wear on the front seats. Driving: Original engine / transmission / exhaust. Car starts right up and runs well. Engine is smooth and has good power. Very relaxed gearing - approx 2000RPM at 100km/h. Transmission shifts well and clutch feels great. Brakes feel good. Does have noticeable play in front suspension due to worn right-front radius-arm bushing. Quote from Bellevue alignment specialist $1300 parts & labor. Brand new Toyo Proxes T1 in the proper Alpina sizes 235/45x17 and 265/40x17. Issues: Wood near the shifter could use some oil / refinish; Leather on Alpina by Momo steering wheel poor(feels brittle); Both front seats are slightly out of alignment - in need of 'BMW seat twist' cable repair; Passenger windshield-wiper linkage not-connected; AC does not blow cold; Crack in windshield - horizontal / low near dash ; Loose interior trim - driver's C-pillar; One wheel-lock drilled out & another disassembled when new-key made (avail here on eBay); Suspension should be refreshed / re-alligned specifically right front radius-arm bushing; Rust at bottom edge of front air-dam.
