Vehicle Detail

So, I've had two people with under 5 ebay purchases win this and then suddenly have "family problems." If you think you're going to develop any "family problems," please do not bid. If you don't think you can pay, please do not bid. If you have only a few ebay purchases, I reserve the right to cancel your bid. This time around I will also be listing the car on other sites. If it sells at one of these sites I will be cancelling all bids here. On to the listing: I am the original owner of this 1997 GST 5 Speed with a 6-bolt swap. The 6-bolt is a somewhat coveted red-top from a GVR4. The engine has fewer miles than the chassis. The chassis is clear of rust. The only spot of rust I know of is on the sunroof and it is small. I have another sunroof that will be included that if rust free. The interior of the car is in excellent condition. Mechanically the car is in very good condition. I say very good and not excellent because the water pump seals need to be replaced, in particular the o-ring at the input. Parts cost for this is minimal (rockauto.com). The exterior is where the only real problem lies. This last winter I hit a patch of black ice and banged into a barrier at 10-15mph. The damaged area is shown in the pictures. The vehicle has many additions, some performance others not. The list of these is as follows: New Walbro 255 Fuel PumpNew Aeromotive Fuel Pressure RegulatorNew fuel pressure gauge (liquid filled - forget maker - installed with FPR)New Fuel Injector SealsNew Plug WiresNew Act 2600 ClutchNew Act Lightened FlywheelNew Rear Hatch StrutsNew KYB Struts - AGX (Rebound adjustable all 4 corners)New Ground Control Coilovers (Springs made by Eibach)New Passenger Side front A-Arm (joint went bad)New (never installed) 2nd Pass A-Arm (rubber bushing [if memory serves] - current is poly)New Lancer EVO Shift KnobNew Front OEM Floor Mats.New Gorilla Flush Mount Valve Stems. Seals are going on the current ones. The driver side leaks a little. These are to replace those.Newer Headlights (no fogging)Newer Pioneer Stereo Headunit (Bluetooth, in-car calls, usb charger etc)Rebuilt Throttle bodyGreddy Blowoff ValveGreddy ProfecB Boost ControllerGreddy Turbo TimerIngen Intake PipeHeat Shield for Intake with Air Port Connected to the Lower ScoopConical with Center Cone Air Filter (forget maker)Roadrace Engineering Intercooler PipesExtreme Motorsports Alloy PulleysExtreme Motorsports Alloy Underdrive PulleyExtreme Motorsports Rear Tie BarBaer 13" Front Brake Kit with Drilled/Slotted RotorsDrilled/Slotted Rear RotorsRM Racing Sway BarsFront & Rear Alloy Strut Braces (forget the maker)Autometer Boost/Vacuum GaugeCustom Gauge Holder (made by myself - It's painted Carbon Fiber w/machined rim)Clear Corner LightsXtant 4-channel AmpBlaupunkt Sub AmpAll Speakers replaced with Boston Acoustics or Polk Audio (matching side-to-side)Removeable Sub BoxNiche Rims (17" up front/18" in the rear)Set of two 17" rims (in case you want 17" all around)All Vacuum tubes have been replacedCamber Kits on All Four CornersChilton Manual for doing any work3-Piece Rear Spoiler2.5" Down Pipe3" Tanabe Cat-Back ExhaustB&M Short Shift KitSolid Shifter Bushings (can't remember name)Sparco Alloy Race PedalsSparco Alloy Dead Pedal/Foot RestBattery is new-ish... about 1.5 years.Wiper arms are relatively new (I have originals as well)There's a box of misc pieces and parts, screws and fasteners that I've pulled from u-pick and elsewhere. Just about every fastener/bolt for the car.Front tires are relatively new (about 5k miles)Side-mounted oil cooler that makes use of the scoop on the driver's side.Dual Hella air horns.Second set of Ground Control coilovers (older set) - These were on the wrong shock bodies and the flanges bent, hence the new ones. The springs are still good though. If memory serves the rear are the same rate as current and the front are a bit softer. Control Tech can answer that question with the part numbers that are on the springs. The car rides very well and corners great... some would say it's harsh, I think it's great. I have all the paperwork from when the car was purchased, even the window sticker. After nearly 20 years of ownership it's time for something new. If you do a vin check you might see three owners listed. At one point I had moved to NYC (didn't need a car) and signed the car over to a friend. I am the first and (I guess) third owner according to records. You can do a VIN check at vehiclehistory-dot-com if you want. It's pretty clean. Both original keys and key fobs come with the car, and get this, a concierge key. This key allows someone to drive the car but not open the glove box... I've never used it. I should note that both key fobs do work but the small plastic area where they attach to keychains are broken. I just keep it in my pocket. Also, when using keys, if you open the trunk without first unlocking the doors the factory alarm will go off... I can't tell you how many times I've done this over the years. The car has never seen anything but supreme gasoline... ever. Aside from the oil that came in the car when new, Mobile1 Synthetic has always been used. There will be a case of this that also comes with the car. It's been changed every 4k miles. When the clutch/and flywheel were put in I had the transmission checked. It is in excellent condition and has new fluid... BG Synchroshift. Most items listed as new are a year-ish old or newer. Some still have not been installed. I should add that, like many DSMs, their is belt squeal on startup. If you look it up (dsmtuners or simple google search) you'll see it's a common problem. There are fixes, I've just never bothered. This vehicle is being sold “as is” and the the seller expressly disclaims any and all warranties expressed or implied. The Seller disclaims any warranty as to the condition or working order of the car. The Seller assumes no liability in connection with with the sale of the car. If the buyer needs the car shipped, this is something they will have to arrange. Travelling here and driving it home is always an option.
