Vehicle Detail
1966 Ford Fairlane The car has some pluses and some negatives: It does run and I can move it around in the driveway. The engine is a 1961 390. I cannot tell you if it is a police interceptor or a regular engine. It does have a vintage 6 pac on it. The intake has all the connectors and linkage for it. It is not paritally disassembled. Has a C6 transmission and a 9" rear end. I do not know the gears. It was a street car in its day. There is a deep sump oil pan and when it is running, the engine has a camed lope to it. The body on the car is an average ford. Has the usual rust on the floor boards. The trunk is clean and so is the underside of the trunk area. It originally came from Oregon. What I have tracked is: Oregon to Michigan, to Texas, to Minnesota. The fenders, doors, quarters, and around the back windshield are in good condition. All the glass is free from cracks and I do not see any fogging or rock chips. The interior is nice. Seats are in super condition. Front seats have been redone, door panels are nice, headliner is nice. The center counsel is complete, but there is a couple small chips out of the sides. The dash pad is old and has a crack in it. I saw it and I needed to have it. Not much longer after I picked it up another car, now this one needs a new home. I have just under $8k in it, so it isn't terrible expensive to have a neat car to work on. Did I say it runs? Old cars are old. If you have certain questions that the pictures or my description dont state, please call me during buisness hours during the week. I do return calls. I decoded the vin on the door and it says it is a 500 xl. I have no idea about all the GTA trim. It sure looks real too. However, it has that super cool 390 6 pac set up. Will run to load.
