Vehicle Detail
I'm selling my 2003 Honda 954. I bought the bike about a year ago and I've put 651 miles on it since I bought it. (I keep a log.) I'm selling it because I just don't ride that much these days. Getting older. Nothing wrong with the bike. I bought this bike because, as you can see from the pictures, it's a time capsule. Low miles, beautiful condition. Even the plastics on the dash don't look weathered. Unfortunately, as soon as I bought the bike, I took it to my mechanic for a once-over and, when I picked up the bike he said, "I dropped your bike." The bike fell over while he was working on it and the gas tank has a noticeable ding in it. I still haven't gotten over it. My mechanic was remorseful and offered to pay to have the tank repainted but I've never been able to bring myself to do it. The tank is too perfect otherwise and the paint job is beautiful. There is also a small spot where the paint is chipped on the back of the bike but this isn't very noticeable. I did take a pic though. That's the bad news. On the bright side, the bike runs great. I've had no trouble with it. When I first bought the bike, I had new Michelin Pilots put on it, put in a new battery, added flush mounts, frame sliders, a keyless gas cap, bar ends, gel grips, and had all fluids changed. No mechanical issues since. One other thing to mention is that the gas cap has one of the three bolts broken off so only two bolts hold the gas cap on. Not a problem though. I took the bike to Jennings GP one day and put in about 40 laps, or about 80 miles. You may notice the minimal effect on the tires. I'm not a fast rider but I didn't crash or abuse the bike. No owner's manual. One key. I'll be happy to help with pickup by whatever shipper you use, if you need to use one. Done it lots of times. If you're interested in the bike and seriously considering making an offer, feel free to call me at 850-212-8864 with any questions, but please don't text me. A bunch of text messages takes a lot of time and I'd rather talk on the phone. Thanks.
