1978 Volkswagen Bus Type 2 originally from the State of Washington. Selling it because I have to pay for my childrens' college education. My son drove it during his senior year of high school in 2014. It has been kept in a garage since his graduation, and has not been driven in the rain. Its sad I must sell it because its a nice piece, and is pretty rare, but bills are bills. It has been completely restored by a previous owner. There is a new middle seat in it from an older model VW, but it can be taken out. Perfect for beach trips, surf trips, is great on gas. You won't be blazing the roads going 100 mph, but you'll get from point A to point B. Is also great as a daily driving vehicle, my son had an amazing time driving it and its certainly a head turner. Whoever purchases the vehicle will also get a free tye dye t-shirt on us, courtesy of the seller. The vehicle had a 29-point inspection at Smith Volkswagen, a reputable dealer in our area, and had $1800 worth of repairs done to it. Only known problem is that it needs a new windshield motor, and we never addressed that issue because it was never driven in poor weather. Since we owned it, my son has put less than a thousand miles on it, as the school is in close proximity to the house.
