1950 Chevy Sedan Delivery 6 Cyl. 3 speed on the tree , I've owned for 6 years, always garaged. Beautifuly painted in Mayland Black.This is one of 23,045 Deliveries built in 1950. How many are left ? How many are left that are still mostly stock ? I don't know but here is one and it's a Black Beauty. I've lost interest in keeping it as i have three other antique cars, that's the reason for the sale. All the sheet metal is original from top to bottom.Pop the hood and check out the straight six set in it's original compartment from a bygone era.The electrical system has been upgraded to 12 volts, but that's the extent of the modernization.The original air cleaner covers the original type carburetor .When i bought it newer spark plugs and wire set where on the car as well as a new fuel pump.Gray paint and the Blue Flame decal are as the motor was dressed from the factory.Matte black paint is used throughout the compartment. the raditor was re-cored,the master cylinder rebuilt and the starter was rewired for 12 volts when i bought it. Outside you'll find great original trim over the shiny black paint job. Styleline has more trim than their fleetline bretheren, and it was the only way Chevrolet would sell deliveries.The grille and bumper assemblies are clean originals, as is the rear bumper.The stainless side spears which run from the fender to the door and from the windshield to the rear door on the belt line are refinished originals.The chrome rear rear fender accents shine as new as does filler cap for gas on drivers side, it was exposed only on station wagons and sedan deliveries.Vintage Firestone 670X15 Wide Whitewalls with about 2,500 miles on them are as new, especialy here where they are paired with original hub caps, trim rings and red plastic " Crown" valve stem caps. The rear door opens easily and and is very light , just what you need to load lots of stuff without extra effort. The hood orniment i'm told was an option for 1949 and 1950 half chrome and half translucent red composite. Inside you'll find a pair of very comfortable seats in the front and lots of room in the back.The seats and doors panels are covered in modern Ultraleather, a new materal that feels very close to the real thing but is much easier to maintain and last longer.There's a new Gray headliner above the passenger compartment while the rear sides and ceiling are covered in black commercial grade carpeting.The entire floor from front to back is a heavy thick rubber and padding mat, perfect for easy cleaning and able to take a lot of abuse. The dash features the original gauges which all work. On the steering column you'll find the opitional Butter Fly steering wheel with added modern turn signals. This Sedan Delivery is a clean no rust car, underneath is clean as the rest of the car but not detailed. The Sedan Delivery drives steers and brakes as it should and is a joy to drive. Car comes with after market Sun Visor also painted base coat clear coat as the car is.Also two sets of seat belts never installed go with the car.
