I am selling my Nissan Leaf which is an all electric plugin car. I bought this last October and it has been a dream to own but sadly I am selling it due to downsizing. The costs:Running this car is about 1/3 the price as compared to my 4 cylinder Ford Ranger. I was driving 300 miles a week and spending $40 to fill up the truck. Now that I have the Leaf, it costs me $30 a month to recharge it. Charging:The car can recharge in about four hours with the 240 volt charging station and 17 hours using the 120 volt charger. I normally leave the 120 volt charger in the trunk should I need it.I am including the 240 volt charging station which is worth $500 new. EV Power Pros EVPP 30A Plug Type.This car make an excellent daily driver as there is no motor oil that needs to be replaced. The car can detect your smartphone via Bluetooth and can play your audio books, podcasts, and music. It has a hands free phone feature also. This has made my commute enjoyable. My wife enjoys driving this car over her own. There is a feature where you can preset a time to warm up/cool down the car. In the mornings, therefore I can sit in my pre-selected 70°F car and zip into work. The only maintenance is to rotate the tires every 7,500 miles. The front tires are becoming worn and will require a replacement soon.I image that this will make for an excellent car for teenage drivers. It has a backup camera which is a dream to use and since the car has about a 65 mile range, they can't go too far. If they forget to plug in the car at night, guess who is now learning about responsibility.It comes with two key fobs which make it nice because I can lock and unlock the car by only having it in my pocket.Electric cars have a lot of low end torque so this car can get off the line pretty quickly.
