Vehicle Detail
I highly recommend coming to see it prior to purchase, I am very flexible with time. It is located in New Egypt, NJ 609-649-7550Selling my 2004 Express Extended 2500 van, business has changed direction and I just don't use. It recently started smoking badly at start-up, with grey smoke after sitting at a stop light. From what I gather it's likely valve guides or piston rings, but I can't justify repairing it at this point. Reserve is fairly low, so if there isn't interest then maybe I'll just keep and fix it...the slider is the door to have, no issues unlike the GM clamshell doors! A/C works well, no cruise or power accessories. I bough it used about 5 years ago and it has served me well. I used this for hauling antiques/fragile items, so it is really set up for that: -'Curt' class 3 receiver hitch, wired up to factory harness (model #13040). Factory tow button on the dash-swapped regular sideview mirrors for real GM dual-mirrors, helps with blind spots-has a 'Bedrug' carpeted liner in the cargo area with foam backer that fit the factory ribs, much easier on the knees and keeps cargo firmly in place by itself-4 combination tie-down plates in the cargo floor that accept E-track fittings as well as standard hooks-custom carpeted wall liners -multiple lengths of E-track along each wall-custom tool rack that's mounted just behind the driver's seat; has 2 shelves and space beneath it as well as a piece of E-track-custom window grate for driver's side cargo window-aftermarket windows on the sliding door and driver's side (installed by previous owner)-overhead pocket above the rearview mirror from a previous generation Express, handy for receipts-aftermarket radio with Bluetooth & remote microphone for hands-free calling-aftermarket door speakers The bad:-engine smokes badly at cold start and even after running (mostly when leaving a stop after idling)-windshield has a crack across the entire length-clear coat peeling and gone from most of the hood & some of the doors-dings and dents throughout, took photos of the worst-only gauge light that works is the speedo, have light kit for repair for new owner (they have to be soldered in...check Youtube) No CELs (oil burning may trip it, though?), runs and drives like you'd expect from a van with its miles and years. You can certainly drive it home, but based on the oil consumption I'd check it regularly on the way! On Aug-05-16 at 14:29:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Tire tread is decent, probably another 15-20K at least. They are 10-ply radials. A 2" ball and mount are included for the hitch; never used!
