Vehicle Detail
I have decided to sell this gorgeous car. She has been my dream car to own since I was young, but it's time to sell. The previous owner purchased the car with 40,020 miles from Victory Motor Sports in Houston, TX and owned it for over 10 years. It is well option with a limited slip differential, active brake control, heated seats, cruise control, leather, CDR210 CD Player and hifi sound system. A CDR220 is currently installed with the AUX function and an Iphone interface for digital music to be played and your phone to be charged, as well as updated speakers installed in factory locations powered by a 5 channel amp and a DSP. All completely reversible using factory wiring connectors, and all stock parts included. Also included is a seat rail mounted cup holder, and battery maintainer through the cigarette lighter. I have a few other new parts also to be included. This car is relatively rare - in 1996 only 462 targas were shipped to the US and Canada that year. The entire 993 911 Targa worldwide production totaled only 4,619 cars. Not very many of them were black on black with a six speed - it's some subset of that. Very rare, and Highly Sought after. Last of the air cooled cars and an incredible investment. I purchased the car with the odometer stuck at 108,594 miles, a common issues with these cars due to the grease softening the odometer gears. I repaired the problem as soon as i received it, and was believed to be inoperable for only a couple of years. So it is listed as True Mileage Unknown. Hopefully the pictures will give you a feel for her physical condition. There are some paint chips and a few door dings. There is a chip in the windshield and a chip in the right front headlight. There are some minor paint imperfections, but overall a very nice car in very good condition inside and out. The special Targa wheels are in good shape, with a few minor scuffs. Mechanically she starts and runs strong. A Stainless steel fabspeed cat bypass is installed with Stage II Fister Mufflers and FVD wide oval exhasut tips. . . . it sounds absolutely incredible. All of the stock parts are included. A full binder of documentation and service performed will be included with the sale. A new interstate battery was just installed. Top End Re-Build 57,472 miles: In December 2007 the previous owner's mechanic performed a "top end re-build" at a cost of $5,954.62. This was done because one of the oxygen sensors was clogged with carbon and the check engine light was on. He wasn't able to pass the NJ emissions inspection without doing this repair. Targa Roof Repair: In 2007 or 2008 (The previous owner did not include the documentation, just the photos) the Targa roof was removed and repaired. The cable that opens and closes the roof had stretched so the roof wasn't closing all the way. That repair cost approximately $7,000. The front deflector needs some minor shim adjustment to be perfect. It's amazing cruising with the Targa top open. Thanks for looking.
