2000 HONDA INSIGHT MT 5 SPEED ONE OWNER CAR 24K MI!!!! Only 24k original mi. Title states miles are "actual". Been working on this car for the last month getting it right. This car is correct and needs nothing and runs great. 5 Speed Transmission works perfectly as it should for a car with these low miles. No noises, no problems. Does NOT grind when downshifting as higher mi. tranny's do. Shifts like new IMA battery is STRONG. I have added a grid charger and discharger. Freshly charged and discharged and charged this battery should last a long time. Grid charger, discharger and harness included as all of these cars should be grid charged frequently. The grid charger/discharger is from hybridautomotive.com and I believe is appx $400 without the installation charge. Of course the harness is installed and you should grid charge all insights on an as needed basis. Interior- above average. I removed the seats and door panels, washed and cleaned the seat covers and door panels thoroughly outside the car and reinstalled. The carpets were freshly shampooed. Interior I would say is a 9+/10. A/C- there is NO a/c in this car. This car is really for the hypermiler as someone who hypermilers their Insight is not using a/c. The lifetime MPG for this car is 68.8mpg. I drove the car to fill it up and returned and I averaged 108.5 MPG!!!! See pics for verification. Most Insights can't compare to this car. I was told by another Insight enthusiast that Insights with no a/c will ave higher mpg's than Insights with a/c as there is no compressor in the belt system and the car is more efficient with no compressor. Not sure if that is true or not but I have never averaged 108.5 MPG ever. So bottom line, if you are a hypermiler and wont be using a/c in your car than this is the car for you. With that being said, I have 40 Insights and if you want to remove the a/c from one of my other cars and take that with you then that is included at no extra charge. But that is with you doing all the work not me. I personally would not add a/c to this car as its running great and the mpgs will decrease with a/c. Exterior- average. There are multiple nicks and scratches especially on the front bumper and driver side door. If you are looking for a show car then this is not for you. If you are looking for a car that looks nice, performs well with a strong battery with low mi then this is the car. Tires are in great shape and correct for this car. I had the car professionally waxed and buffed and detailed. Exterior I would say is a 8/10. For the perfectionist you could always have the bumper repainted and some body work done on the drivers side door but that is probably overkill. Look at the pics and check these areas out. Car is still a very nice looking car and looks like a lower mi. car. Underneath- nice. All underneath body panels intact and even the body panels were cleaned and polished (my friends thought I was nuts doing this). Engine compartment-above average. Had this professionally detailed. There are multiple places where the manufacturer had colored paint on various fasteners which usually wears off over time. I included a pic of the colored paint on the fasteners that is still like it was when the car was brand new. I rarely ever see this. Mechanics-above average. No check engine lights, tranny purrs as it should for low miles, motor fires right up and sounds great. Should last easily for 300,000-400,000 mi as these cars go forever. Oil and Filter - just changed. Ready to go. This car is great for fuel economy if you drive it accordingly. My girlfriend, who has road rage, only gets 40 mpg because she could care less about mileage. A friend of mine in Las Vegas just recently achieved over 100 MPG on a tank of gas (10 gal tank 1000+ mi). In temperatures of 95-100+ degrees he would drive with the windows up, no a/c of course and get huge mpg. But he's a little nuts...and so am I. Just shows you what can be achieved with these cars. Great cars if you drive a lot or if you are just frugal. I'm neither. I just like the look of the car and want to be as gas independent as I can without getting too nuts. Car also goes into auto-stop easily which is where the engine shuts off when idling and starts instantaneously when you step on the gas. This helps your mpg greatly and some Insights don't go into auto-stop. You guys buying these cars with bad tranny's and IMA's will be faced with possible repairs of $4k or more. This car is done. Tranny purrs. Strong IMA. Get in, drive and send me a thank you after you have the car. I spent the last month working on this car to make it right and its right. No corners cut. Gas tank-on full of course. No issues. PERIOD. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this car. I'm appx 20 miles NW of Indianapolis, IN and you can fly in to IND (Indianapolis, IN airport) and I'll meet you at the airport and you can drive home. Anywhere including Timbucktoo. This car is ready to go. I am not a dealer but a retired enthusiast that has a ton of these cars that I enjoy working on. I'm not going to sell a car and then have you give me a negative for whatever reason as I have many more to go. But as of now just this one for sale. No sight seers of "InsightWorld" and no parts for sale as I'm too busy enjoying what I do. Here to sell a great car for a great price. Where else can you get a car that can go 108.5 MPG's and has NO problems with a great battery and tranny with a grid charger and discharger and low miles for under $7k? I am selling this "as is" with no warranties expressed or implied. With that said if there is a problem, let me know about it. I have thousands of positive comments on ebay and NEVER had a negative comment and not going to start now. I want both of us happy. My last 3-4 Insights on ebay sold prior to auction end. Give me a reasonable offer and I'll remove it from the auction. You will be very happy with this car. All I ask is a $500 deposit immediately after you buy and you pay the balance within one week. This hobby has been an absolute joy that I wouldn't trade for anything. Clear title on hand. Clean Carfax included.
