NEVER RENTED - 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby Hertz Edition GT-H Convertible - We have had the car in our possession from the day it was delivered to Joplin MO!!! Title will show three owners - the first being Hertz Corporation, the second as Transportation Service Co (our local Hertz franchise), and then us personally! As owners of a Hertz Franchise, we were given the opportunity to enter a lottery drawing sent out to all franchise owners for the option to purchase one of thirty of these iconic Mustangs offered just to franchise owners. We won the chance to spend our money...and we did! This Shelby has less than 5100 miles on it today. She has always been kept in her own specially built garage. She always drinks high octane gasoline. She has only been caught in the rain showers twice in her life (we went to car shows with her and got caught before we got home!) She has been to Shelbyfest in Hermann MO twice and the Mid-America Ford Shelby show once. She has been in several parades and has driven special needs kids to prom. She has been to countless local car shows and cruise nights. This Shelby GT-H is number 325 of 500 convertibles produced in 2007. They all started life as a black GT Premium when they were purchased by the Hertz Corporation. They were then shipped to Las Vegas to the Shelby factory where they received their gold stripes, racing package upgrades, badging, and more. We have customized this particular Shelby with a few extra upgrades. First of all, we added the sequential taillights - something that the 2007's did not come with originally. We changed out the wheels and tires for 20" Shelby Razors with Goodyear Eagles, but you will receive the original GT wheels and tires with the car, too. We added the GT-H engine cap set and the GT-H floor mats - included. AND, we shipped the passenger side airbag cover to Shelby to have Carroll Shelby himself autograph it! There are some light scratches on the upper driver's side windshield where we cleaned off the original shipping numbers and the 3M pad left marks. We do not have the option to choose the rating, it is automatically generated by that particular service. When you look at the rating, it lists "Fleet/Rental" and "Mileage" in the negatives. As I stated before, this car does have three owners showing on the title - Hertz Corp, Transportation Service Co, and us. What it doesn't tell you is that we have had the car in our possession from the day it was delivered to Joplin. The car was originally purchased by Hertz from Ford as a Mustang GT Premium, sent to Las Vegas for the Shelby treatment, then sold to the local Hertz franchise - Transportation Service Co. My husband and his father OWN Transportation Service Co. As per Hertz rules, after the car was listed as "in the fleet" for six months, it could be sold. That's when the title was transferred to our names, but it has always been in our possession. And as far as the mileage goes, this Shelby had 8 miles on it when we got it and she now has just under 5100 miles on it. And, no that is not a typo. I really don't understand why this number generator considers such low "mileage" on this particular car as a negative, but...I guess that's what you get from computer generated algorithms. I guess they figure that a car this "old" should have way more miles on it!
