Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1970 Triumph Trophy Sports motorcycle. This is the TR6 model not the TR6R or the TR6c. The TR6r was the roadster the TR6c was the competition model. They were the export model This is the UK model that was for UK home market use and not an export model.. It was called the Trophy Sports in the UK. The TR6R was the US model called the Tiger. Though the TR6c was call the Trophy it is the competition model in the US. If you look at photo number 2 you can just make out the Trophy Sports sticker that is very faded. It is 2.5 inches from the edge where the neck opening is. The Trophy Sports sticker is 3" wide 1.5" high and 3/4" from the center ridge. This model did not have the black stripe as on US models this is correct on this model. I am taking the the time to point all this out to verify that this has the correct original spring gold paint job. This is the UK size 4.8 gallon fuel tank the US had a smaller 4.1 gallon tank. Don Hutchinson of Mass., a well known Triumph shop here, told the previous owner to never repaint this as it is an original paint job and its that way only once. I know that some will say the taillight is incorrect but it has a UK taillight that was modified to accept the smaller US plate as the UK plate was much larger. The UK light did not have side markers.I will include the US taillight that can use the lucas lens on the bike. I have owned this bike for 5 years and have put about 2000 miles on it.I have never had any major issues with it. Now the good about the bike:The bike is currently registered and on the road. It is a smooth running engine. Everything works, lights, horn stop light, the original Smith gauges . The brakes are really nice for drum brakes and stop really well. The exhaust has a nice deep throated sound and is pretty quiet. All the cables are in good condition. This is just a smooth fun to ride bike. I have the original handlebars that do have wear and some rust.It comes with the original owners manual and a Triumph service manual. I have the tool kit also. The seat is original and has not been recovered. The seat foam is firm as it is 46 years old but is still pretty comfortable. It has the original amal carb. The frame and engine are matching numbers. Original wiring loom. This is not a show bike and shows all the normal wear and tear of a 46 year old motorcycle. Now for the bad: I would replace Dunlop K70 tire as they are showing signs of age. I don't know if it is original to this bike, but the oil tank is chrome. I know the US model had a black tank. The engine cases are also chrome. I can't find anywhere if it came this way stock or someone later had the tank and cases chromed? It does leak oil as many of these old Triumphs do. It has a clunk going into first gear I will adjust the clutch. Buyer is responsible for shipping but I will try to help out. I have a clean Mass title in my name. I will also do a local pickup. I have tried to answer everything the best I can any questions just ask.
