You are bidding on a gorgeous 1986 Mustang GT Convertible. This stunning Pony is one of the nicest you will find and was tastefully modified for the ultimate street cruiser including 4- Wheel Disc Brakes, Ice- COLD A/C, rebuilt 302 and transmission and so much more. The body is super solid with only minimal rust, 2 small spots on the trunk (pictured). The paint is exceptional with only minor wear and is easily 5 footer as you can tell by the pictures. I drive it to the shows and it always draws a crowd. Mach 1 Style fiberglass hood was installed on the factory latches and really sets it apart from the other Fox Bodys. The engine was just rebuilt and done right with some tasteful additions. A BBK cold air intake, and an E 303 camshaft was installed at the rebuild. Factory headers with flowmaster mufflers really give it that classic muscle car tone. Car puts out about 350 Horse and runs extremely well. Just turn the key and it comes to life. The transmission was all rebuilt with a stage 2 clutch. Hurst competition shifter, and all the other goodies. The transmission shifts better than new, no slipping, smooth and no grinding. Rear end is an 8.8 with disc brake conversation installed as mentioned earlier. Has a Richmond 3:73 gear ratio, with Eaton posi-trac unit installed. The interior is a custom 2 tone Red/White leather and shows extremely well with the white face gauges. The car has a custom roll bar installed for the car shows. All of the gauges work including the tach, speedo, clock and original low fuel and car sensors. A shift light was installed as well, although the car has never been raced. Aftermarket radio with a CD player replaced the original so you can listen to your favorite tunes while cruising with the top down. All of the power windows work with the exception of the passenger side, I believe it’s the switch you can hear the motor working. Top is in great shape for being original with one patch pictured. All lights, turn signals, etc. work as they should. Car has Ice-cold A/C as mentioned earlier. Power top works perfect and goes up and down without any worries, a custom Grant steering wheel was installed and it lets you steer this beauty with a pinky. Wheels and tires are like new with the rear tires just being replaced and are new, and the front tires are about 70%. Underneath is super solid no rust. Subframe connectors, and Hotchinks suspension were all installed, including adjustable shock tower mounts. New shocks were installed on all 4 corners, along with new bushings as well. Car handles like a brand new mustang. It is super tight no slop, and is super dependable and with the Cold A/C and the top down it doesn’t get much better.
