1997 SL320 Mercedes-Benz ~ 97,642 Miles ~ Garage kept for last 8 years ~ Excellent condition ~ Daily Driver White with Black Convertible top.Drives like a dream.New tires have less than 2 thousand miles on them.Brakes good.Air conditioning is excellent; You will need a jacket in 95 degree weather if you crank it up.Transmission works perfectly.All accessories work: power windows, radio, etc.Some small paint chips.In-line 6 has been described as "bullet proof."New plugs, synthetic oil and $800 of front end work. The mechanic said something about ball joints?Has a tiny oil leak and I mean tiny. It can't even be detected between oil changes, but does cause burnt smell every once in a while (oil collects on under engine shield pan and smells once in a while.) Just never had the time and funds to get it fixed. Mechanic said "Maybe $200 to $800 to stop leak, but doesn't affect performance or engine, so just keep an eye on it." Front bumper has 8” of horizontal damage.Convertible top was put on in 2010 and never used.Fabric is like new.Flexible plastic windows are cloudy and main window has two major cracks. Will need windows replaced.’Convertible top is NOT operational as it needs a “Soft top control unit.” Available on EBay for about $800.Hardtop has no headliner.Local shop said $225 for headliner.Selling “My Baby” due to change in life conditions. I love this car. It is the most fun I have ever had in any car and I have owned about 50 in my lifetime. It is quick, fun to drive and with the top off an amazingly wonderful convertible. I have not had the money to fix the convertible top, so I have used it as a hard top in hot rainy season and a convertible in cooler weather. Includes what's shown in the pictures ONLY.
