The previous owner similarly used the vehicle. I have not driven it as much as someone who would truly appreciate it. As much and long as I looked for this Jeep I am deciding to put it up for sale so a new owner can enjoy it. It is a 30+ year old Midwest Jeep that is not perfect, show, or professionally restored. However, as I learned years back during my search for a nice jeep it is as good or better than most. (other then those with a reserve of $25,000). During the time I owned it I did nothing but change the fluids and put a new battery in it. The heat works and the air conditioning does not. The dash works besides maybe a small courtesy light or two - all the mechanicals function. It has a steel body and work was performed 10+ years ago with steel welded in to patch weak areas. The welds were covered with body filler and when I bought it (and still) there are stress cracks behind where the doors close. That is the major defect as shown in the pictures and the remainder of the body has scratches, dents, dings, and etc. The frame is very solid along with the rest of the vehicle. It ran excellent and was a blast to drive; I enjoyed the past few summers. It is cold-blooded and I had to choke it to start it most the time, however I never adjusted the carburetor. Engine was rebuilt prior to me so I do not know the miles on the motor but it runs strong and doesn't excessive leak/use oil. I hate to sell a nice daily driver Jeep but it needs to go to someone who will get more use out of it in the meantime and I am sure maybe someday I will own another. With that said I tried to present it to the best of my honest opinion in both the description and pictures. Any questions please ask as you buy as-is where-is, but I will gladly work with you on shipping if need be. Feel free to call me with any questions (309) 337-2309. You are also welcome to come take a look if you would like. I have always let my auctions go full term and plan to do the same with this one; so please bid. With that said it is already drawing attention after going through the car wash and parking it in the yard tonight but I only plan to entertain private offers if the CJ 7 does not sell on here; so please bid.
