Vehicle Detail

This is my Walter Mitty track car as I'm afraid our dreams of track days are not going to happen. I live in Santa Barbara, California and that is where the car is located now. I bought it from Georgia about a year ago on bill of sale from reputable owner. The last two owners used her for track days and road driving. The 3.0 SC engine is not original and runs strong and very fast. Great compression all around having just completed leak down tests. CIS works great no issues. Stainless header system sounds amazing. Mechanically the engine is in great shape and while I do not have a build sheet one can hear and feel the race prep work that has gone into her. Transmission is also performing as it should with no issues I can find. (I have only had her on the street so only been up to 3rd). No police around. She is very flat at cornering and rigid in my little use of cars and coffee runs. (She is not smog legal as she sits in California!) Not sure what it would take to make her 50 state smog legal as she was bought as a track car. Probably not much of an ordeal outside Kalifornia to make her legal. She carries a Georgia license plate and past registration but I was planning on registering the car using historical plates as I have another home in South Dakota. If this matters to any potential buyer I am happy to proceed with the South Dakota registration and title and historical plate and then transfer it to you. I pay all fees. This is not a cosmetically perfect car as it is intended for the track. It is sound mechanically and rust free (front battery tray should probably be prepped to keep it that way). She has had her share of track time and bumps and bruises as the PCA log Book includes Daytona and Sebring. Full welded cage. If I were to keep her I would replace seats and belts with fresh ones, replace shocks, maybe add flares and (I prefer ducktail). Left rear quarter panel inner area should be restored as a race hit at some time was hastily repaired. My son is off to University and as this was always meant as a father and son project, it seems right that this pays for his tuition. (ouch). ThanksRick Engine is 1981 911SC 3.06411570
