The engine starts easily and runs very smooth with strong acceleration. The tan interior with wood trim looks pretty good (dye wear and leather creasing, but no rips) and features dual power-adjustable seats, power hardtop, heated/cooled seats, keyless entry, climate control, Bose audio, leather wrapped steering wheel, auto-dim rear view mirror, alloy wheels, and more! The hardtop and all the electronic features/options inside work! The paint and body look very nice and the aftermarket alloy wheels look great on this Benz! This SL500 will need a fair amount of work in order to pass our VA state inspection and to be driven safely. To pass State Inspection it needs: a new left-front lower ball joint, a new right-front upper ball joint, and three tires. Other mechanical issues are: The brake light is on in the dash due to a faulty SBC pump. There are fault codes for the SBC pump and accelerator pedal. There are noticeable oil leaks from the valve covers causing an oil burning smell when the engine is running and hot. This car CANNOT BE DRIVEN until the brake system is repaired because there is hardly any stopping power to the brakes and the pedal goes near the floor.
