Vehicle Detail
1985 Honda V-65 Sabre31 Year Old Classic MotorcycleBike has never been laid over. I am the fourth owner. The bike came out of the personal collection of the owner of Princeton Honda in Kentucky. The dealer principal kept the bike inside the dealership as his personal bike/trophy. The 2nd owner bought it from the dealer principal in 2007. The bike moved to Raleigh North Carolina. The 3rd owner was from Land O' Lakes, Florida and was purchased in 2011. I bought the bike in 2013 and had it shipped to Newburgh, New York via Motorcycleshippers.com for approx. $650.The seat was replaced by the dealer with a very nice leather Corbin with blue trim to accent the color on the bike. The black pipes were also replaced by the dealer with chrome Genuine Honda factory pipes which accents the bike much better. The dealer principal had the engine covers, radiator trim, and rear seat handle polished to its natural aluminum (removed the black) to accent the bike better too. He also installed a 2-line auxiliary LHP top end oiling kit. The installation was done in a nice neat and picky manner including braided hoses. This provides for increased filtered oil up to the cams to allow better lubrication. The following has been done since I took ownership of the bike: fuse block rebuild, valve stems, spark plugs, and fork seals. This bikes turns heads. No one believes that it is a 31 year motorcycle, making it a classic, well really an antique. Now, with all that being said, if you do not already know about this bike and have to google it. It is not for you. The shear raw power of this machine, is way before it's time. It has a 1098 cc engine, though it states 1100, producing 121 horse power. It is stated to be the fastest production bike in 1983, with Jay Pee-Wee Gleason making a 10.92 second, 124.82 miles per hour. So it is a very fast, powerful bike.If you are looking for a mint V65, this is it. There are probably only a hand full left in this condition. And they rarely come up for sale. You will not find a nicer mint condition 85 V65 anywhere on the market right now. It took me a while to find one in this condition. I am only selling it because my wife only allows me to have one bike at a time.I'm happy to show the bike by appointment for inspections. It is for sale locally, and I have the right to end the auction early if sold local.*****I WILL ONLY SELL TO U.S. BUYERS AND ACCEPT U.S. FUNDS.*****The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. The bike starts right up and can be driven anywhere just like when it was new. You can fly to Stewart Airport in Newburgh, NY (the closest airport to me) or any New York City airport (JFK, LGA, EWR). Respectfully saying, please do not waste my time, wanting to take it out for a spin. If I have money in hand, sure you can ride it. If not, you can watch me take it for a spin, I have a clean NYS title in hand.
