Up for sale is a 1966 ford thunderbird. The motor is a 390 ford v8All in all this car is a really fun car to own and drive. In regards to getting from place to place it works great. All the gizmos and gadgets don't necc work but it could be a great project car. It has a current safety inspection sticker and I personally had no safety issues with it. Only getting rid of it because I plan to be moving out of the country and I won't be around too often I am not an expert so I can't tell you what is authentic or not, though the motor does have an engine tag. The car runs and drives. Very smooth ride. Shifts into all three gears and I personally got it up to 75mph and it felt like it could keep going! The car needs a complete paint over, most of the chrome is pitted and the vinyl top needs to be redone. The car hit a building in the back and a friend of mine pulled the chassis straight. I have been driving the car and there is no uneven wear to the driver side rear tire, which is a fairly good proof that the chassis is indeed straight. All the tires are dry rotted. The trunk carpet is filthy and ripped. The interior one isn't too bad. The seats themselves are in perfect condition (the chrome is slightly pitted). I didn't invest so much time into this car, but here are some things I noticed need repair: Dashboard has two major cracks The left turn signal pawl is out of position (you need to manually cancel the left turn signal) The oil dipstick tube needs to be replaced or repaired. It comes out of the hole easily. There is a short in the driver side courtesy lamp circuit The main driver side window motor needs repair. The other motors work fine however the switches ground out on the base of the switch-needs to be looked into The steering wheel has a non authentic leather cover, I never took it off to see the condition of the actual wheel The slide away steering is jammed. I got it to move (without forcing it) once The washer fluid bag needs replacement along with the tubes. The motor works The vacuum lock/unlock doors don't always work, not sure if there is a way to give them more suction. Valve cover gasket leaks oil The headlamp adjusters are broken The interior light dimmer needs to be cleaned or replaced. It only works in one position Radio and climate control are there although I haven't got either of them working All the weather stripping needs to be replaced. There is a slight leak in the driver door, goes behind the driver seat. When you shift into reverse it does jump a little.Things I have repaired Complete new fuel system from a new tank, new sending unit, new lines, new pump, carbeurator was rebuilt.
