Vehicle Detail
You are bidding/purchasing a 2010 Subaru WRX sedan (base edition) in World Rally Blue. It has the factory EJ255 block and stock Turbocharger. I originally leased this vehicle through Gerald Subaru in Naperville, IL in 2009. Instead of returning the car, I enjoyed it so much that I purchased the car after the lease expired. This is a one-owner car. The body has 64,120 original miles. It just recently had a BRAND NEW OEM replacement short block installed at Uftring Ford and Subaru dealership in East Peoria, IL in April 11, 2016. They also installed a new timing-belt and cover. The original engine from the factory suffered a blown piston ring which led to really bad rod knock, totaling the motor, at 63,914 miles. The new engine as of today has only 206 miles. This WRX has a Stage II speed-density pro-tune which was performed by Junior at P & L Motorsports in Lisle, IL using a COBB ACCESSport, which is included with the car. If you would like to return the car back to stock, the original factory tune is backed-up on the ACCESSport. The final power numbers at the wheels after the tune are 329 whp/356 wtq. This translates to roughly 390 hp and 410 lb-ft. of torque at the flywheel. The stock turbo makes about 14psi of boost from the factory. After the tune, target boost was set at 20 psi. When the new engine was installed, the Stage II supporting modifications remained on the vehicle along with the tune. All aftermarket parts were purchased new and installed professionally. We need cars that do not have manual transmissions because she cannot drive a manual transmission vehicle. We also need cars with a taller ride height and more interior room. Through most of its ownership, it was used as a daily driver to and from work with mostly highway mileage. The car has never been to a track or drag raced. According to Kelly Blue Book, the car is worth about $14,000 privately sold. Considering the car has a practically brand new engine, several aftermarket parts, two sets of wheels and tires, a brand new clutch and a professional tune, I feel that my asking price is very reasonable.I would prefer to meet the potential purchaser in a public area in the Peoria area. I am willing to drive the car up to the Chicago area for a buyer since we have friends and family who live in that area and the original dealer for the car is up in that area as well.I hope you have as much fun and enjoyment I have with this car as I have for the past 6 years. Please ask if you have any other questions.***You may be curious why the vehicle history lists 3 owners of the car. I believe this is because the car was originally leased by me and then purchased by me. I have all documentation confirming registration and ownership.
