Up for auction is a beautiful custom Honda CB750 cafe racer owned by actor Jason Lewis.. This bike was built by SS CLASSICS in Venice California and featured in the ALL STAR ISSUE of Cafe Racer Magazine.Oct./Nov. issue 2014. The 750 was stripped down to the ground and rebuilt. 1974 frame, swingarm, centerstand, etc powder coated gloss black. The 1971 engine was rebuilt from the bottom up by renowned CB750 restorer Dennis Trudelle of Perris California. Cases split and cleaned, cylinders honed, pistons decarbonized, new rings, new crank shaft bearings and seals, all new engine seals and gaskets. Carbs rebuilt, synched.. and fitted with custom made aluminum velocity stacks by our good friends at Steel Dragon Performance. Bridgestone Spitfire tires, Heavy duty O-ring chain, new fork seals. Engine cases, valve cover, rear brake hub, fork sleeves, and triple clamp polished to a "chrome-like" finish. Custom seat made to fit original seat pan. Lucas style chrome rear tail light and mini chrome speedometer and tachometer gauges. The odometer is showing the miles on the bike since the rebuild...approx 2,600 miles. Custom Shelby Cobra inspired paint scheme on gas tank, headlight bucket and K0 side covers...looks black at night but has a subtle metal flake sparkle in daylight..very nice. This gem has rare "period" 4 into 2 exhaust silencers by SITO of Italy. These were found brand new in a box and never saw daylight until 2013! They help give the bike a Norton Commando look and certainly sound more "muscle car" than the 4 into 4 or 4 into 1 exhaust set ups you see on so many builds. Jason has been working and traveling the globe and has decided the bike needs to be ridden instead of sitting idle in his Venice Beach garage! If you care to know more about him, ask your wife or girlfriend or. ... google his name! The bike has had a complete overhaul within the last month. Factory tune-up...valves, points, timing, cam chain all adjusted....fresh oil, new oil filter, new NGK spark plugs, new NGK insulator caps, some gaskets replaced for good measure...and a new battery. Kick and electric start....all electrics work perfectly. She starts right up and idles nicely....the idle needs to be brought down slightly when the bike warms up to operating temperature. Original Honda factory switches were returned to the bike for safety reasons...now the bike has a functioning horn and hook-ups for turn signals if the buyer wishes to add them. Original front disc rotor turned and drilled by Tru-disk in Michigan...grabs nicely. The bike shifts through all gears smoothly and handles very well...fast and fun! Please look closely at all pictures closely. Digital photos are flattering! The bike has some oxidation on some of those "chrome-like" aluminum pieces now and the chrome in some areas has slight rust due to being close to the ocean. It is very subtle but i wanted to mention it...I don't want any suprises. ASK QUESTIONS! This is a used vehicle that was maintained very well. Original tool kit included.
