Vehicle Detail
Summary: Restored Toyota Land Cruiser in excellent condition. Everything works. Is reliable as my daily driver. No rust. New paint, interior, stereo, wheels, tires, and suspension. The long story: This, lovingly restored, FJ60 spent most of its life in California and Arizona. I bought it in the fall of 2014 and had it fully restored from head to toe - both cosmetic and mechanical. All of the restoration work was done by K&H Land Cruiser Specialists in Los Angeles - Land Cruisers are all they do. It is reliable I've used it as a daily driver - about 50 miles a week. The engine pulls strong. The gears shift crisply and the transmission pulls hard. The AC blows cold - cold enough to deal with the Texas heat. The 4x4 works. It starts no problem in the cold or in the heat. Engine runs cold in our Texas heat. THE IMPROVEMENTS - MECHANICAL AND COSMETICNew paintNew tires - chosen carefully to look natural on the truck. New wheels (Toyota OEM steel wheels)New suspension - front and rear. Old Man Emu. It's a very slight lift but looks bigger than it is since most Land Cruisers on their original suspension have sagged down a couple of inches. New interior - carpet, seats, side panels - very high quality upholstery and vinyl. The stuff I replaced was actually in pretty good condition - it's just kind of low end and I wanted something a bit more "plush" but still in character with what these trucks are. New stereo and speakers - Alpine receiver with Bluetooth and USB (iPhone or Android) connections - Alpine CDE-HD148BTTinted windowsBlackout treatment on the chrome - may not be to be everyone's liking but now that I've seen the truck this way, I dislike all the chrome on the normal FJ60Headliner is not immaculate - the headliners on these are hard to clean without ruining them. I've lived without replacing it but if you're a perfectionist, you might choose to replace it. THE FIXES AND MECHANICAL UPDATESThe truck was in pretty good shape when I bought it but here's a partial list of things that K&H fixed or replaced.
