1978 Super Beetle convertible, Champagne Edition. Third owner, spent its life in CA and now FL. Purchased from second owner in Chico, CA, 15 years ago. Car was originally Peach Ancona Metallic, was repainted in 1990s to current color, VW Frost Blue. History of excellent care (service receipts back to the 1980s) did not prevent small battery pan rust thru and cracks on the dash. Car could use a paint job and reupholstery, but this is a very solid car. Top is good. Floor pans, support rails, and frame head original and in excellent shape. Trunk and strut mounts are fine. Luggage area behind rear seat solid. I used POR-15 on the floors when I purchased the car. Body is solid as well. All glass is good. Runs well. Car has none of the typical super beetle shimmy. Recent battery, alternator, and double relay. Gas tank cleaned and sealed at radiator shop. Original radio included but not installed. Put new retractable three-point front seat belts in.
