Vehicle Detail
Summer's Coming! This beautiful little MG could be your next toy. _________________ ~NO RESERVE!~ ____ It's a clean, original, unmolested specimen with approximately *170,000 miles on it. *The odometer shows 70,000, but it's probably safe to assume it's been around once. There are only about 5000 miles on the rebuilt engine, complete with twin SU carburettors. It has a brand new exhaust system from manifold to tip including two resonance chambers which make for superbly quiet top down cruising so you can enjoy the retro look AM/FM stereo. ♩♪♫♬♫♩♪♩♪♫♬♫♩♪♩♪♩♪♫♬♫♩♪♩♪♫♬♫♩♪♫♬♫♩♪♩♪♫♬♫♩♪♩♪♫♬♫♩♪ The convertible top is less than a year old. The tires are about six months old ~and~ are the original 145R13 size, special ordered from Universal Vintage Tire Co. She's started and run without so much as a hick up, every time. I don't really want to sell this car. However, I don't have a garage, or the wherewithal to keep her up in the condition which would be fair to this sweet little car. I would very much prefer to sell her to someone who will love her, and be able to take care of her in the manner she deserves, and keep her original. It would break my heart to see her modified or lapse into disrepair. For the right buyer, I'll even throw in my English driving hat. She is listed in the AutoShrine registry #GAN5UE151451G and she won Best In Class at the Wheels Across the Pond British Classic Car Show March 26th, 2016.On Apr-25-16 at 14:19:24 PDT, seller added the following information: On Apr-26-16 at 16:15:25 PDT, seller added the following information: She seems to have acquired a leak on top of the fuel tank (when it's topped off) - probably the gasket for the sending unit or fuel filler tube. A really cheap and easy fix if you have the knowledge and workspace. I'll check with Palm City Imports and report back what their cost would be.On Apr-26-16 at 20:35:58 PDT, seller added the following information: We bought this car with some of the money I got when my Mom passed away. I had big plans and was going to give it to my son when he was ready for it. In retrospect, it was a dumb idea. I got to have some fun with it, but as I said, we don't have the means to take care of it the way it deserves. I don't want it to sit in our driveway and fall into disrepair, and, we can use the money from the sale to get Fletcher Morton more music lessons and flight training - things he probably needs more than a '74 Midget. On Apr-29-16 at 08:16:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Palm City Imports quoted about $200 to drop the fuel tank, install a new gasket and reinstall the tank.
