1971 Ford Mustang ConvertibleFound this car at a house I was helping to renovate, where it had been stored and neglected for many years and, fell in love with it!It really looked sharpOnly 6121 Convertibles were manufactured in 1971 and it appears that most were with the straight 6 and the 302 V8. If my research is correct only 590 were manufactured with the 240 HP 351 2VThe previous owner suggested the odometer had the correct mileage which shows under 47,000The interior appears to be original and is in good condition for its age it shows some wear with only one small tear along a seam of the drivers seatI appears to have been repainted at some point I had great plans of restoring this car to its former glory, but find that I am unable to find the time to even get started.The engine turns over but I have not started itThere is rust along the bottom of the fenders, rocker panels and doors (see pictures). There is also rust around the tail lights and the trim along the bottom of the door jamsThe tires hold air but are not suitable to be driven onI have tried to be objective in my description and highly recommend you see the car in person if you are able before you bid on itTHERE IS NO RESERVEThis car is sold as is where is with no warranty If you are the winning bidder you are responsible for transportation and the vehicle must be removed within two weeks of the end of the auction Deposit of $500.00 to be made within 48 hours of the end of the auction The balance to be paid in cash wire transfer or certified funds before the car will be releasedIf you have any questions please let me know
