Vehicle Detail

This beautiful little Scout runs and drives like a new one. I've had it for about five years and the receipts I've amassed add up to well over twenty thousand dollars. I stopped counting about when I refurbished the air conditioning, which blows cold and works great. Here's what I can remember: first I took care of all rust. It had some on the lower body panels. New outer rockers and patch panels in front and back of the doors on both sides and some floorboard patches were done by one of the best restoration experts on the west coast. Then I replaced the sagging springs with new springs, bushings and shocks with a two inch lift, and new body mounts with two inches of lift. The black paint along the bottom is where the rust repair was done. New 33 in, tires on the original spoke wheels, new a.c. compressor, dryer, all a.c. components, brake service w/ new shoes in back and pads in front. It has power discs in front and drums in back. I had a Detroit locker installed in the rear dif. New front hubs, New alternator and voltage regulator, which was difficult since the alternator has a vacuum pump mounted behind it. Everything works perfectly on this Traveler. It starts easy, doesn't smoke more than a diesel of this vintage should. Note...they all smoke a bit when cold started, but this engine stops smoking right away and runs smooth, It has new two inch exhaust without any muffler for increased power, with an aftermarket downpipe and air cleaner for better performance too. All the original parts go with it. It's not too loud, but has a nice throaty sound and doesn't need a muffler...or smog, by the way.The custom rack is strong enough to handle whatever you want to put up there, and can be removed when you don't want it. The fiberglass top comes off and included is a new bikini top. The roof-top tent by Tapoui, shown in one of the pics, can be purchased seperately. It bolts onto the rack. Everybody thinks theirs is the nicest Scout around. I'll just say that people stare at this one where ever I go and want to know what it is and where to get one. The Nissan diesel gets twenty five and better miles per gallon and with the thirty three gallon tank you can go well over six hundred miles on one tank! oh...the retro-sound stereo (you can google them-it's the top of the line model), looks like a radio from the period, but has all the features of a modern one...Bluetooth, hands free cellphone connection and a microphone, I-phone and I-pad compatibility, etc. You couldn't possibly go wrong with this diesel Scout II Traveler. It will get you anywhere you want to go in comfort and style. Any questions, you can call me at five 5 nine- 7 2 three-one 338.Happy bidding!
