Over the years I have owned four family vans, two suburbans, as well as this Excursion, which has been by far, our best family vehicle. Now that my wife and I are nearly empty nesters, we're transitioning to smaller cars. Many people have commented on what a nice long distance travelling vehicle it is. It's the ideal family vehicle, especially with it's front bench seat, seating for nine, and vinyl flooring. It was an Ebay purchase out of Oregon and it had just over a hundred thousand miles on it when we bought it just about eight to nine years ago. Except for long distance family trips it's always lived here in southern California. Only a hand full of times have I ever engaged the four wheel drive, in other words, mostly my wife has driven it. It's been very reliable and will continue to be so. I bought it specifically because of it's proven 7.3 Powerstroke diesel engine.Recently I replaced the alternator along with both batteries. Less than a year ago I replaced the shocks with upgraded KYB Monomax shocks and stabilizer. Other upgrades include, RedHead steering gear box (see picture), Hedwig rear anti sway bar, full stainless steel from turbo back Volante exhaust system and Volante air intake. New intake boots. I replaced the tires from Costco about the same time as the shocks with Michelin X LT 2, and they look good too, with little to no noticeable wear.The body is straight. No accidents, only minor scratches and dings as there are a number of them. The paint is original, however it shows thin.I understand purchasing a vehicle with over two hundred thousand miles may be cause for worry or concern. I will make it available for test drives.
